Draft page declined
Hi @WikiMentor01, thank you for reviewing an article I recently wrote (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Sanjib_Bhattacharjee). I am new to the process so am unaware of what needs to be changed; could you please provide some more specific information as to what else is needed and which areas need to be amended for the article to be approved. Thank you and I appreciate it. Flyhigh223! (talk) 21:39, 5 June 2025 (UTC)
- you are very close to it. I have given some suggestions. plz re submit after updates. WikiMentor01 (talk) 06:28, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your reply @WikiMentor01. Are these the suggestions you are referring to: "article needs to be re written from NPOV with proper layout and also remove the unsourced info."? I am happy to amend but I am unsure which parts are not neutral, and what is the proper layout? Is this referring to headings? Flyhigh223! (talk) 10:31, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- you should make proper headings, sub headings, dont put everything in one place. like lead, background, early life.... keep most essential info which is supported by good sources, keep the things which is important from encyclopedia point of view, not everything personal is relevant. WikiMentor01 (talk) 10:42, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you @WikiMentor01! Is this better and ready for approval now: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Sanjib_Bhattacharjee ? Flyhigh223! (talk) 21:47, 7 June 2025 (UTC)
- BETTER. STILL YOU CAN CUT DOWN MANY INFO. WikiMentor01 (talk) 05:11, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you @WikiMentor01, which parts should be removed as I am unsure? Flyhigh223! (talk) 13:20, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @WikiMentor01, I have edited the page accordingly, please could you check before I resubmit? Thanks Flyhigh223! (talk) 21:32, 12 June 2025 (UTC)

Re-review
Hey WikiMentor01, I'm a fellow AfC reviewer. I've re-reviewed two of your reviews, picked at random, as part of the backlog drive, you can see the results on your review log. Your decline of Draft:Maa Vindhyavasini University, Mirzapur was correct, but I believe you were too harsh in declining Kamla Jaan. At the time, the draft cited four sources, two of which were significant coverage in reputable Western news outlets (the New York Times and the BBC) and two of which were decent articles in Indian media. This is enough to meet the general notability guideline, especially as a web search shows that several further sources exist. Additionally, the subject is a local politician who has been dead for several years; there is little chance of self-promotion or undisclosed paid editing here, so there is no need to be especially stringent. As you can see, I've moved the draft to mainspace and cleaned it up a bit – please be a little more careful in future not to decline drafts like this as non-notable. - THANKS FOR TIME AND FEEDBACK. I AGREE WITH YOUR VIEWS. WikiMentor01 (talk) 04:27, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hey WikiMentor, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I advise you not to use all-caps. On the Internet, it could be interpreted as SHOUTING. I personally don't mind you replying in capital letters, but I worry that if you do this to others (as in the section below) it could be misunderstood. Toadspike [Talk] 19:55, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I never write in capital. It just happened. WikiMentor01 (talk) 12:01, 12 June 2025 (UTC)

Hey, Can you please elaborate why the article can not be accepted? Please address the issues so that I can improve it and then re-submit.Reshmaaaa (talk) 08:27, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
- YOU ARE VERY CLOSE TO ACCEPT. REMOVE FEW PROMOTIONAL THINGS IN RECEPTION AND ELSEWHERE. KEEP RELEVANT SOURCES WHICH GIVE IN DEPTH COVERAGE ON TOPIC. KEEP THOSE SOURCES ON TOP OF THE REFERENCE. FIND 1-2 IN DEPTH COVERAGE TO ADD. GOOD LUCK. WikiMentor01 (talk) 11:17, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
Draft page declined
Hi @WikiMentor01,you reviewed an article ( Draft:Indian Biogas Association ) and I think it was for the sources not being independent and reliable. From my understanding (as I am new to this), I have added several government links which mention the company's name or work and also added several reputable news sources, and I'm confused now as to why it's getting rejected. Please tell me what area needs amending Harshit Gupta (talk) 11:27, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
- Still in depth coverage in independent sources are required. just brief mentions are not sufficient for private bodies. plz update and resubmit. WikiMentor01 (talk) 12:11, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
June Backlog Drive is almost over!

Hi! Thanks for participating in the Articles for Creation June Backlog Drive! We've done amazing work so far, dropping the backlog by more than 2000 drafts already. We have around 2600 drafts outstanding, and we need your help to get that down to zero in 5 days. We can do this, but we need all hands on deck to make this happen. A list of the pending drafts can be found at WP:AFCSORT, where you can select submissions in your area of interest. Thank you so much for your work so far, and happy reviewing! – DreamRimmer ■ 01:35, 25 June 2025 (UTC)

DCWC closing update
Two weeks ago, the 2025 Developing Countries WikiContest came to a close! After three months of stiff competition at the top of the leaderboard, we have our winners.
vigilantcosmicpenguin (submissions), continuing his work on covering abortion in Africa, comes in third with 692 points.
simongraham (submissions) comes in second with 763 points, largely from a slew of good articles about jumping spiders. And returning to the podium for the second year in a row,
BeanieFan11 (submissions) takes the Gold Belt Buckle with a mind-boggling 946 points from his series of articles on sportpersons. Congratulations to our winners!
Amazingly, the award for the most countries covered goes to both
BeanieFan11 (submissions) and simongraham (submissions), who each submitted articles under 30 flags!
BeanieFan11 (submissions) also wins for writing the most quality articles (16 good articles). For submitting 16 articles related to El Salvador,
PizzaKing13 (submissions) wins the award for most submissions under one country. The award for most submissions related to women goes to both Spookyaki (submissions) (7 biographies about women) and
vigilantcosmicpenguin (submissions) (21 related articles). And for the second year, simongraham (submissions) wins for the most reviews, having submitted 21!
Among the participants' contributions were 2 FAs, 5 FLs, 124 GAs, and an uncounted number of DYKs, ITNs, and reviews of every kind! Regardless of your level of participation, every contestant can be proud to have contributed towards a major step in countering the systemic bias on Wikipedia. Every year, millions of readers and editors around the globe use Wikipedia to educate themselves and communicate with others about parts of the world that often receive less attention than they deserve. Thank you for participating with us in the contest and contributing to this effort. The DCWC will return next year, and we look forward to seeing you contribute again! However, before that...
We need your feedback! Join the conversation on the talk page to discuss your reflections on the contest (even if you didn't participate!) and help us make it better.
