Thanks for the Marcel Aymé navbox! Maybe now the Moulin de la Sourdine article can be rescued from the oblivion to which it was sent by whatever radical deletionist admin who decided to send it there (but seriously, thanks 🙂!). Krimp Varkey (talk) 23:55, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I restored Le Moulin de la Sourdine and added a couple of sources that should secure the notability. Uriahheep228 (talk) 00:11, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas Kufus moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Thomas Kufus, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 13:27, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Beyond the Robot moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Beyond the Robot. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources, it needs more sources to establish notability and current information does not warrant inclusion. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

If you have any questions, you can reach me by replying to this comment and starting your message with {{Re|Wibbit23}} and ending your message with ~~~~. Thanks!

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Wibbit23 (talk) 17:51, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Wibbit23: The article is sourced with two reviews in mainstream media, so passes WP:NBOOKS #1. Uriahheep228 (talk) 18:03, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Uriahheep228: Hi there! Thanks for the reply. According to wikipedia's reasons for drafting:
2a-i. is not a reasonable WP:STUB (e.g. has very little verifiable information, or is interchangeable with a short dictionary entry)
This article has potential merit, however due to the current state of the article being a mere "definition" it does not warrant inclusion as an encyclopedia entry. Wibbit23 (talk) 18:25, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Wibbit23: I added a little. Uriahheep228 (talk) 19:06, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Looks interesting, but I haven't translated any articles. If I do create some of those (Kaltenbrunner and Fusaro are on my own, too long and unrealistic to-do list), they will most likely just be stubs. My German is too bad to really do something proper with this. I might jump in and add a little if you take a shot at it first though. Uriahheep228 (talk) 15:35, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think relative to their page views and such, Friedrich Nietzsche's entire corpus should be massively overhauled. Lots of missing citations etc.
I also had a long list of books I originally wanted to create an article on; can send via email if you're interested. Biohistorian15 (talk) 17:23, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thank you for your help on John Mearsheimer bibliography! I was wondering what you had in mind regarding the article's external links? Ivan (talk) 23:09, 10 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Many of the titles in the bibliography contain external links. There shouldn't be external links in the article body, per WP:EL. Uriahheep228 (talk) 00:11, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I believe bibliographies are an exception to that rule. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Bibliographies#Book links. Ivan (talk) 03:34, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It may have changed since the guideline was written then. I found two relatively recent FLs that do have external links in the body, List of bibliographies of works on Catullus and Bibliography of works on Georges Méliès. Uriahheep228 (talk) 03:56, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Black Atlantic has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notability tag up for 21 months.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please don't empty categories out of process

If you believe Category:2000s Norwegian novels et al. should be deleted the correct process is to take it to WP:Categories for discussion rather than emptying it yourself. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:13, 15 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The process is BOLD, revert, discuss. I just did the revert part. Uriahheep228 (talk) 17:15, 15 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That's not how it works. My creation of that category was already the result of a discussion: WP:Categories for discussion/Log/2025 October 14#Category:Danish novels by year. While you are welcome to disagre with the way in which I closed that discussion following WP:CLOSECHALLENGE procedures you aren't welcome to undermine it. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:16, 15 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It was not. You boldly created the decade categories and then the year categories were discussed. The year categories were just merged into the categories they existed within at the moment. Both that discussion and Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2025_October_21#Category:Swedish_novels_by_year contain scepticism about the decade categories, even though they weren't the subjects of the discussions. Uriahheep228 (talk) 17:20, 15 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My creation of those categories was not a bold action. It was the implementation of what I saw the consensus to be - I didn't see sufficient support to skip the decade level - one skeptical comment isn't enough to hijack a discussion proposing a different action. Anyway, my closure stands unless it is overturned at WP:Deletion review. You are welcome to challenge my closure there, or start a new discussion proposing a further merge as I explicitly allowed - what you aren't welcome to do is WP:ECOOP them. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:24, 15 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
What you thought doesn't matter. Per WP:BRD, it is you who need to seek actual support for the additions that got reverted. Getting rid of the categories is within process, your unwillingness to discuss them is not. Uriahheep228 (talk) 17:29, 15 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't make any sense. The fact that I created these categories as part of implementing a discussion result is a fact, not an opinion. It's not something that I can think. You're the one who is making a bold action that I reverted, not because I think these categories should exist, but because what you're doing is procedurally wrong. And, in any event, most of your edits aren't just reverting me, they're effectively reverting Kaffet i halsen and/or a status quo dating back years. So I'm the one reverting your bold actions, not the other way around. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:35, 15 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You're right, the decade categories for Denmark and Finland were created by two different users in the last year or so. You then added more of them after the discussions about the year categories. I should have looked into that more closely before attributing them to you. But it doesn't change the fact that they were added boldly and the only discussions that have touched on them have been sceptical. There is no consensus for them and they're far more unnatural and pointless than the year categories. Uriahheep228 (talk) 17:46, 15 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to make your case for that at WP:Categories for discussion. Don't empty categories out of process. I'd be happy to help you with the mechanics of filing that discussion. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:49, 15 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Can we agree on this? I'll start a separate discussion at WP:Categories for discussion proposing the entire Category:Norwegian novels by decade tree (or any other subtrees of Category:Novels by country and decade you want to upmerge - it's not clear if you are objecting specifically to Norway or to the entire pattern for the whole world) be upmerged to century level. If there is a consensus to do that when the discussion is closed in a week (or possibly longer - CfD despite my best efforts tends to be backlogged at times), then that will be done by a bot and you won't have to make any manual changes. In the mean time those categories stay populated and you respect the outcome of that discussion and don't try to remove entries from the categories while it is pending . * Pppery * it has begun... 18:03, 15 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

Autopatrolled granted

Hi Uriahheep228, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:37, 20 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
