Ways to improve 2025 Electronic Dance Music Awards

Hello, Paradisetoshutdown,

Thank you for creating 2025 Electronic Dance Music Awards.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

You should be using reliable and independent sources about the subject. Not primary sources, which are sources written by the subject themselves. A primary source could be a source written by the company, person etc. that the article is about. An independent source is one that is NOT written, endorsed or paid by the subject.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Sebbog13}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

@Sebbog13: Thank you, as soon there's more independent sources i will added them! x ~~~~ Paradisetoshutdown Paradisetoshutdown (talk) 00:21, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Gold Derby music awards

Hi @Paradisetoshutdown, just so you know, I removed the Gold Derby awards from List of awards and nominations received by Maren Morris because it's not considered a notable award. The music award that the site gives out is very new, and isn't covered by any independent, reliable sources. Perhaps one day it will be more notable, but it hasn't achieved that yet. Thank you for your work! Alyo (chat·edits) 15:27, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Anyma

Hi @Paradisetoshutdown, I reverted your last edit on the Anyma page, for a couple of reasons:

  1. Along with adding new content (music videos), you also undid all the edits I had done prior, without bothering to provide a reason. This is sneaky and rude, so please don't do it again.
  2. The table was missing all kinds of correct markup for the videos you added, such as quotation marks around song titles. Please make sure that your edits aren't sloppy, as that simply creates more work for other editors who have to fix your errors. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 02:11, 17 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Revirvlkodlaku, sorry for not asking beforehand, i honestly thought the page was dead, as there's a lot of information that needs to be updated, thanks for the feedback, please know there was not bad intentions behind it. I really wanted to added the new content, but again my apologies. sending love xx Paradisetoshutdown (talk) 02:26, 17 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Paradisetoshutdown, no worries, and thanks for explaining. I'm not sure what you mean by "dead", and you are welcome to add new content, just please make sure you are not undoing the work of other editors for no good reason, and as much as possible, please do your best to follow the Manual of Style. Cheers! Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 13:44, 17 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you created or have recently made significant changes to may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for pages, so it has been blanked and redirected. Three typical reasons for this are that: (1) the article's subject appears to fail our notability guidelines; (2) the article is unsourced; or (3) the sources used in the article are unreliable. The page's history is preserved and it is possible to restore the article: If you believe that this page should remain included on Wikipedia or that this action was taken in error, then you may revert the edit that blanked and redirected the page.

Wikipedia:Your first article has more information about creating articles, and you may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. --Vanderwaalforces (talk) 15:39, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

My response to your questions

So... the WiFi at my campus appears to be quite awful, which is why I don't have time to give an expanded explanation to your question you asked me, but two days ago, you left a message asking me about why I tagged the article for having a fan POV and sources not verifying the content. I'll just point out some notable examples:

  • The article is super defensive of her, mainly with the allegations of her personal life. The first sentence of the "Public image" section, for example, is "Goulding's personal life has been highly subject of intense media scrutiny, as well a victim of constant false rumours spread by British tabloids, which has affected her public image and her mental health" (and by the way, claims about the "false" allegations are also mentioned in the lead section), sourced by this BBC article, which falls under both issues. Not only is it something a defensive fan would say, but the article itself makes no mention of it - it only mentions the radio DJ being subject to claims by those tabloids (not even specified as a British one, by the way).
  • Another example of a claim with the same problems is this OK Magazine article that is sourced for that she was "slut-shame[d]".
  • It's a problem in the "Artistry" section as well, such as the mention that "[Goulding] is noted for her high piercing vibrato, breathy tone and emotive delivery" sourced by two sources that have the same issue; they do not verify the content and are original research.
  • The Celebs Now article (which, by the way, is now deleted; I could only find it through Wayback Machine) says that they split in 2012 after 18 months, but where's the source that they started in 2010? (I suppose that's what "[they dated] in 2010" means, but that is poor grammar and can be misleading to some just to side note).
  • Then there's the "Fake Showbiz" article by The Face. I am not personally familiar with "Fake Showbiz News" or the situation, but the prose claims that Goulding "keeps a low profile on social media" with that source, but that is not mentioned in the Face article.
  • There are also a bunch of needless tweets in the list of artists who have spoken favourably about her, which is not what Wikipedia is for - save them for Fandom or TV Tropes; stuff like this is bloating the article with unnecessary information and fancruft (plus, I really do not think we need that whole list anyway; the paragraph below is enough).

Anyway, that's a list of examples I'll give for now. There are probably others, but I suggest re-reading the article and with the information I pointed out, I recommend rewriting some of it to be more neutral and also to re-check the sources to make sure all of them are verifying what is written (and also I suggest removing some stuff that can't be found anywhere other than Twitter or Instagram, as is some of the stuff; that stuff, again, should be on Fandom or TV Tropes, not Wikipedia). If there is enough, the article will probably be able to move up to B-class, which is something we can only hope to see in articles that have over 8,000 words (although per WP:Article Size#Size guideline, it might be time to trim out some of it or move some stuff to another sub-article). Anyway, have a nice day! LoTrWiki (talk) 17:24, 1 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@LoTrWiki Hi! thanks i will check those things! and re-write them or change sources.. Have a nice day you too!

Updates: So far, i added articles and interviews for the "media scrutiny" sentence, where has been actually discussed/mentioned. i changed the Fake Showbiz prose to "During the 2020s" which is more neutral and the sources date are from different years of this decade (22-23-24). As soon as i have more time (i'm also in the UNI), i will revist the others, i would appreciate your feedback in the updates!

Paradisetoshutdown (talk) 22:18, 2 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I also forgot to mention, there are various grammar errors, although most are minor so not the biggest priority, but still worth noting for improving the article. LoTrWiki (talk) 00:31, 3 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! @LoTrWiki i will keep an eye on that too!, about the six points you mentioned early, i have been lucky to find better sources where those claims (point 1, and 2) are actually mentioned, also point five has been corrected!. About point 3, i think whoever wrote that sentence, was paraphrasing those remarks, maybe instead of looking for a better sources, we should maybe paraphrased better, like highlighting that it came from music critics. i would appreciate hearing your opinion on that. Have a nice day! Paradisetoshutdown (talk) 05:47, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

Hi Paradisetoshutdown, I saw your edits on Draft:Destiny (Ellie Goulding song), and wanna introduce three things to you:

1. Please see WP:A/S. The most sources you added are genereally unreliable. For example, PM Studio is regarded as an unreliable source.

2. You'd better see MOS:CURLY. In Wikipedia, “” or ‘’ should NOT be used, but " " or ' ' should be used instead.

3. Per Template:Refname rules, <ref name=":0"> is not recommended. Please name references properly if you can. Thank you! Camilasdandelions (talk!) 07:30, 13 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
