Wilkommen, DraconicDark
Grüß Gott, Herr DraconicDark. I noticed your recent edit to Wikipedia:WikiProject Germany/Members, and I wanted to congratulate you on your decision to join the WikiProject. We have plenty enough need for editors willing to do translations, and for a new editor I would recommend WikiProject Women in Red, a WikiProject dedicated to translating or otherwise creating articles and expanding Wikipedia's coverage of women on Wikipedia, for new translators so that you can accomplish your ambition, expand the WikiProject, and learn the ropes here at Wikipedia. Here's the WiR backlog for Germany. –Vami_IV✠ 23:20, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
Hi, DraconicDark. I reviewed a recent article of yours, felt it was good and as you have created 25 articles now, I put you forward to be autopatrolled. This makes no difference to how you edit, but articles you create would then go through New Page Patrol and be reviewed by an experienced editor, which adds to the huge backlog there, and the articles wouldn't go straight onto Google, but could take up to 90 days. The feedback to my request was that the articles need some cleanup, and that they do not have the attribution to show that they are translations from German Wikipedia. When you've resolved this and created a few more articles, you can nominate yourself at the link in the title. Any questions on this, please ping me. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 08:31, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
Ways to improve Hoisbüttel (Hamburg U-Bahn station)
Hi, I'm Boleyn. DraconicDark, thanks for creating Hoisbüttel (Hamburg U-Bahn station)!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This needs more than 1 source.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.
Boleyn (talk) 20:15, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
Sources
All articles need sources, and Neulaa (Vienna U-Bahn) and others you've created don't have them. Please be aware that other Wikipedias are WP:NOTRS. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 20:44, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- Can you please respond to this message? Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 20:59, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
Sorry for my late response. Neulaa (Vienna U-Bahn) was a translation of the German article of the same name, which apparently didn't have any sources. I can see if I can find some, which shouldn't be too hard. What other articles I created don't have sources? DraconicDark (talk) 15:36, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
- I think it's just Anita Tack and M19 motorway (Hungary). Thanks for working to fix them. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 17:40, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
Anita Tack was supposed to have references, but the content translation tool removed them upon publication for some reason (I think it was a glitch of some sort). I have just put those in. DraconicDark (talk) 20:46, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 20:52, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, can you please add them to Neulaa (Vienna U-Bahn). Boleyn (talk) 21:13, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
I will once I have found them. DraconicDark (talk) 22:02, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
I found one and added it to the page. I will try to find more. DraconicDark (talk) 22:48, 25 January 2018 (UTC)

Updates to the BV page in German
Hi DraconicDark, I saw you're one of the few proficient editors of German and English, and I'm reaching out because of your expertise in both languages. The German Bottega Veneta page is out of date compared to the English one, and I'm trying to ensure that there’s the same depth of information available on the German Wiki as there is for English. I’ve been working with BV on improving and expanding their English article, and I'm looking for community members to help update the German article with some changes proposed in this SandboxDE. Would you mind taking a look to see if the translation is accurate and suitable for integrating into German Wikipedia? Chefmikesf (talk) 23:00, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
- OK, I will take a look at it. DraconicDark (talk) 00:58, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you! What is your sentiment with this article? Due to my COI, would you be interested in assisting introducing these updates to the German Wikipedia? Chefmikesf (talk) 22:59, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
Overall, the translated article is good. I am willing to introduce these updates, but what exactly is out of date, and how should the existing German article be updated? Or should the existing page be completely replaced with the translation? DraconicDark (talk) 13:04, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
DraconicDark, Thank you for your assistance. The current version seems to have no good sources references and may read like an advertisement. I suggest updating the article with this new sandbox completing. My lack of knowledge of the German language limits my ability to incorporate the article, but I trust your judgment. Chefmikesf (talk) 17:55, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
DraconicDark, Have you had any more thoughts on the the Bottega Veneta article? Chefmikesf (talk) 17:54, 23 March 2018 (UTC)

Thank you
Thanks on your effort and for your alert in comment on Bosanska Krajina merger proposal, this is really important, as it drags itself since March this year (actually since 2010). I cannot say that it was totally unexpected that some of these editors would resort to bad faith behavior and edit. But still, they are all experienced and should have known better. Thanks, I really appreciate your comment.--౪ Santa ౪99° 16:28, 8 September 2019 (UTC)

I can't do much about it, apparently
Hello, as you know, and it is you who has alerted me on this issue in the first place, the merger debate on "Turkish Croatia" → "Bosnian Krajina" is now completely overwhelmed by Croatian editors from Croatian Wikipedia, thus being completely disrupted and irregular.
I tried to draw attention to these developments in a report on Administrators' noticeboard / Incidents with Merger discussion disrupted by Meatpuppetry, but no one has responded since September 16 to date.
I'm a little bit baffled with the lack of interest, if not with the lack of concrete reaction, so I wonder if I may be doing something wrong. I'm not overly experienced in dealing with disputes through "Noticeboards" and reports, so I may be wrong in creating a report and building a case.
I would love to hear your opinion and suggestions, especially in light of everything written in and around the opinion-article "Curious case of Croatian Wikipedia" at Signpost.
Amazingly, on Croatian Wikipedia they have something called "List of irregularities at English Wikipedia", which is a subpage of "Kafić", Croatian version of "WP:Village Pump" I suppose - as a subpage it's obscured from passing-by outside editors' view, and obviously serves as a sort of forum for collecting reports and preparing an organized approach and acting in unison toward articles, edit-wars, disputes, on English Wikipedia. Cheers.--౪ Santa ౪99° 16:15, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Santasa99: You're not doing anything wrong, as far as I can tell. I would recommend you visit this Meta discussion about hrwiki's admin abuse, in which I mentioned the canvassing. Your perspective would be very helpful in proposing a solution to finally end the situation. DraconicDark (talk) 19:25, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks @DraconicDark:, I really appreciate your input and time. I just posted something on Signpost comment section, before seeing your reply here. I pinged you too. I also just read your discussion on meta, and I need to come up with few remarks myself to post there as well. (By the way, these involved editors already reverted problematic article (Turkish Croatia), as soon as protection expired, removing in the process not only properly referenced prose which made some sense, but also all template messages and merger template as well, as if nothing has happened in all this time. Truly astonishing.)--౪ Santa ౪99° 21:41, 18 September 2019 (UTC)

The article Anna Gasper has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
fails WP:NFOOTY
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Mightytotems (talk) 11:06, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
Nomination of Anna Gasper for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Anna Gasper is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anna Gasper until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Mightytotems (talk) 21:20, 21 March 2020 (UTC)

The Chestnut Man moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, The Chestnut Man, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Question about deletion of half of article "Roads in the Netherlands"
Hello DraconicDark,
In September 2022, more than 20,000 Bytes (Half of the entire article) "Roads in the Netherlands" was deleted, initially dismissed as 'unsourced content', but later pointing to issues with eight sources, that were also deleted in the process.
Since 2019, I've become a severe chronic pain patient, plus I am now also suffering from depression. Both fully deplete my energy, and may impair my judgement. So I seek help regarding this article. I don't want to get any deeper into an edit war, but I am also no longer able to perform all the work the other editor is demanding of me...
I consider deleting half of the article undue, too drastic !?
Some 75% of it has been online more than eight years, and over 90% was online since about Sept 2018, without a single debate on the talk page. More than 130,000 articles completely lack sourcing, and are not deleted, but simply flagged. Roads in the Netherlands had more than 100,000 pageviews since 1 July 2015, and some 63,000 since Sept 2018. And now, suddenly, Half of the article is so bad and unreliable, that it must go straight in the trash !?
I don't believe this is the best for Wikipedia or its users, but I am presently unable to restore a 50% destroyed article, given my current, and persistent situation. I wanted to let someone from the Roads project know about this.
Regards, GeeTeeBee (talk) 14:58, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It started today on Monday June 16 and will run until Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help make the content produced as diverse and broad as possible! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:08, 16 June 2025 (UTC)

Two Human Beings. The Lonely Ones
Hello, I just saw that you translated the German article for Two Human Beings. The Lonely Ones. That's fantastic! I had started to translate the Spanish article until I saw there was a German one in better shape and so held off and am now quite glad for that. Have you done a Did You Know nomination before? Translations are eligible, and there are still a few days left to nominate the Munch article. If you are interested and run into any issues, feel free to reach out. Rjjiii (talk) 03:28, 27 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Rjjiii:,
- Funny you should mention DYK; I just nominated another article I created, Vindelev Hoard.
- I would be willing to nominate the article for DYK, but the article is mostly based on German print sources, and I am unsure if this will be a problem for the nomination, since hooks need to be cited and I'm not sure if print sources need to be linked to, as I can't find an ebook version of the sources online (this is a recurring issue I have run into with German print sources in particular). Some of the print sources have English versions available as ebooks to borrow on Internet Archive though, so if necessary I guess I could link to those. DraconicDark (talk) 15:32, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
- Ah, gotcha; it's not against any policy, but it will take longer to find someone willing to review sources that are offline and in another language. If you have access to an offline source, then you can add a brief quotation from it to a nomination page or to the citation in the article itself. Typically the only sources that are heavily scrutinized are those supporting the hook facts. Citations are required for the rest of the article, but reviewers will usually only look into those if they are concerned about the reliability of a source, possible copying from a source, or whether a controversial claim is supported by the source.
