Clarification

I added the table to reflect the current composition of the TN legislative assembly. It helps the readers to understand the current party affiliations when compared to the previous election. I got this concept from Next Indian general election. Anbarasan1523 (talk) 06:31, 7 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Anbarasan1523. The 2021 election results are not necessary to be added in tabular format since the comparison with 2026 election will be covered under results section. Also, unlike the Next Indian general election page, all the seats in TN are with the 2 alliances only. There hasn't been any major changes due to defection, so the comparison has no benefit to be added. However, I will add the table for now and let's see if it is objected by other editors since this table is not consistent with previous Indian election pages. Clarification

My edit in 2024 elections in India is not disruptive, because many reliable sources confirm that NDA reached majority on their own only in 2024, for the first time since 2014.[1][2] Having control is possible only with majority. Anbarasan1523 (talk) 00:35, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Anbarasan1523. Please provide references in edit summaries while making such edits. Dhruv edits (talk) 00:42, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request

Hi, The current page of 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election is getting increasingly promotional tone, especially the recent additions today in "key issues" section have more unnecessary details. They also removed maintenance templates. I request you to edit the page to align with Wikipedia policies, especially WP:NPOV. Thank you. Anbarasan1523 (talk) 16:33, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Anbarasan1523. Yes I have noticed that. The page may require some copy editing and removal of any promotional/ non NPOV material. I don't have much time for it currently, so will try to do next month. Dhruv edits (talk) 18:07, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Next Indian general election

Someone added two minor national parties in Next Indian general election, which seems against MOS:INDELECT. Is there any consensus before on this? Anbarasan1523 (talk) 01:10, 9 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Anbarasan1523. Consensus is on MOS:INDELECT to add only major contenders as per reliable media sources. I have removed these parties. Dhruv edits (talk) 03:33, 9 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Last Request before Retirement

Hi, I've decided to retire permanently from Wikipedia due to continuous personal attacks from a user. The specific user is currently trying to restore the content (which had promotional tone against WP:NPOV) by gaining extended-confirmed access after 500th edit. I feel exhausted and decided to retire permanently from Wikipedia. My last request to you is: Please watch 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election and prevent his restoration of promotional content to ensure WP:NPOV. Thank you. Anbarasan1523 (talk) 11:39, 12 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Anbarasan1523. I would advice you to calmly discuss the issue with the other editor on their talk page without indulging in any edit war. In case of personal attacks, you can report the user to the admins for action. Exhaustion is common while improving wikipedia. Taking my own example, I took a long break from wikipedia to combat the exhaustion and I have come back now. Relating to the page, for the time being, I am removing the text from the article on which there is no consensus. There are many months to the election; there will be a lot of changes to the background and key issues section as the election comes closer. Dhruv edits (talk) 11:59, 12 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election

Some leftist editors are trying to include Communist Party of India (Marxist) in 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election, 2026 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election and 2024 Indian general election in West Bengal articles despite having achieved no seats in any of those elections. I request you to look into this type of biasness in those articles. Kalpesh Manna 2002 (talk) 12:37, 25 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Kalpesh Manna 2002 Thanks for letting me know. Hopefully, it can be resolved with discussion on user talk page or through consensus. If the disruptive editing is not stopped by the users, then reporting them to admins might become necessary. Dhruv edits (talk) 14:19, 25 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your suggestion and guidance. Kalpesh Manna 2002 (talk) 16:56, 25 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion on Election Result section of all local body election result articles of Maharashtra, except BMC.

I have been contributing in wikipedia from a while, recently I have notice that all the election result article of Local body have result sections for candidates. as per new block system introduced by ECI Maharashtra each ward has 4 corporators I am suggesting below format for that:

Results by ward

Ward No. Ward Area Seats[a] Winner Runner Up Margin
Candidate Party Votes % Candidate Party Votes %
A INC BJP
B INC BJP
C INC BJP
D INC BJP

Need your opinion on this.

Hi @Eaglespirit. Which page are you suggesting these changes? Dhruv edits (talk) 16:33, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Dhruv edits I am suggesting these changes to following articles
Draft:2026 Jalna Municipal Corporation election, Thane Municipal Corporation & all the articles of 2025–26 Maharashtra local elections#Municipal Corporations except BMC Eaglespirit (talk) 16:06, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Eaglespirit If the information is available, you can add it with proper references for the names added. This shouldn't be unsourced on the article. Also such detailed results should be added only to the specific election page of the corporation, like 2026 Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation election and not the general Corporation page like you are suggesting for Thane Municipal Corporation. Dhruv edits (talk) 16:51, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Okay Understood, Thanks for the confirmation. Eaglespirit (talk) 20:35, 7 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
