Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) representation on Wikipedia
Dear BappleBusiness,
We hope you are doing well today. We wanted to reach out to you as we see you have been an active editor on the Clinton Foundation Wikipedia page.
We wanted to flag some errors in how CHAI is represented on Wikipedia. After reading through your policies, we understand that we cannot edit the content about us as that would be a conflict of interest. So we wanted to reach out and ask for your help.
There is one overriding issue of concern which is that CHAI has been separate from the Clinton Foundation for over 10 years. We incorporated as a separate 501c3 and have not been part of the Clinton Foundation since 2010. We have our own board, and as you can see here https://www.clintonhealthaccess.org/financial-statement/chai-financials-2017/, here https://www.clintonhealthaccess.org/financial-statement/chai-financials-2018/ and here https://www.clintonhealthaccess.org/financial-statement/chai-financials-2019/ (for example), we file our own tax returns and annual reports to the government, and we are not connected financially or through governance to the Clinton Foundation.
Would you be able to help separate CHAI from the Clinton Foundation's Wikipedia page? We are happy to provide you any additional sources or documentation you may need to verify this. Beyond that, much of the work that the media has documented CHAI doing is also not on our Wikipedia page. But we view that as a secondary issue to the fact that it still looks like we are an arm of the Clinton Foundation on Wikipedia.
Is this something you can help us with? Or point us in the right direction to address this issue?
Many thanks in advance for your assistance. Best, CHAI Comms Team PressCHAI (talk) 21:21, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
- I actually haven't been very active on the page, you might be better off reaching out to some other editors who have made more contributions and are more familiar with the subject (see the edit history and the revision statistics). From looking at the page, I don't see anything that contradicts what you're saying -- it seems to state that CHAI was spun off from the Clinton Foundation in 2010. If there is anything specifically on the page currently that is incorrect and you can provide reputable secondary coverage confirming that, I can try to fix it.
- The organization doesn't have to be part of the Clinton Foundation to fit on the Clinton Foundation page. Splitting off the section on CHAI to be a new article is an issue of notability, which is determined by the amount of reliable, independent sources on a topic. From my quick search, I couldn't find many reliable, independent sources about CHAI's work, which makes me inclined to say that it should remain a section as part of the Clinton Foundation article. For more information on this, see Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) and Wikipedia:Notability § Whether to create standalone pages. BappleBusiness[talk] 22:38, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your reply. We do think it is confusing for readers to have two legally separate organizations under one Wikipedia page but we also appreciate that you are not very active on this page. We also understand what you are saying about how we do not have a ton of press as our previous leadership did not resource a large comms function. But we have been covered by several reputable outlets recently which shows how our work is completely separate and distinct from the Clinton Foundation. Here are some links if that helps support our request. Would you be able to quickly scan them and see if you agree with us about breakout CHAI out to have its own page? Thank you again for your time.

The article Scott Street has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Other than Scott Street (Phoebe Bridgers song), all of the articles listed are only partial title matches. None would be reasonably confused with "Scott Street", and thus should not be included as per WP:PARTIAL. Disambiguation is thus unnecessary.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This is an automated notification. Please refer to the page's history for further information. DatBot (talk) 00:31, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
