- Comment: Can I propose ALT2:
... that the Big Three had five members?~Darth StabroTalk • Contribs 04:38, 20 February 2025 (UTC)- Sure! In that short form we could keep it for April Fools even :P --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:08, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- Review: Should've indicated that this was expanded instead of created, article passes all DYK checks, contents cited, all clear. Approved ALT2. Regards, Jeromi Mikhael 01:26, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- I am not sure if 'expanded' counts for redirects? Not that's it's a biggie, but if closing admin has a comment here, do ping us :) --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:08, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- You want "Converted from a redirect" instead of "Created", such at The World's Biggest Gang Bang III – The Houston 620. I've updated this.--Launchballer 12:52, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- @Darth Stabro, Launchballer, and Piotrus: Oops, I forgot to give the
approve tag!
Approving the ALT2 hook for April Fool's Day! Regards, Jeromi Mikhael 15:33, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Darth Stabro, Piotrus, and Jeromi Mikhael: The hook says "has five members" but the article says Truman and Attlee "are also sometimes counted as the members". I'd also question whether ALT2 has enough context.--Launchballer 15:18, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
- Maybe even more hooky, Launchballer: "
... that the Big Three may have had five members?" ~Darth StabroTalk • Contribs 15:32, 25 March 2025 (UTC)- I fixed that link with what I think you meant, but I'd still worry about context (big three what?).--Launchballer 16:01, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Launchballer: I hear you, but for April Fools, unclear context is the norm, I think. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:07, 26 March 2025 (UTC)

Striking the ALT2 and subsequent hooks, since they rely on the three/five fact for April Fools that is pretty weak to begin with, and certainly won't fly as a regular hook now that the April Fools set has run. I think the original hook and ALT1 could be reviewed to be regular hooks, and perhaps Piotrus will wish to propose other hooks, but since only ALT2 was approved, the approval has lapsed. - Sigh. Pinging User:Jeromi Mikhael - can you approve earlier hooks, so this can be processed? TIA. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:22, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
- ALT3: ... that the Big Three won World War II?--Launchballer 22:07, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
The "Composition of the Big Three" section is worded very awkwardly. It starts with the replacements, and then in passing mentions who the orginal members were, and fails to wikilink Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin. As per MOS:LINKONCE, the names should be linked the first time the appear in the body, in addition to the lede section. Flibirigit (talk) 12:51, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
- ALT1 states the hook in wikivoice as if it is an established fact, whereas it is the opinion of some historians. I cannot verify that hook accordingly. Flibirigit (talk) 12:57, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
- Good point re MOSLINKONCE; I've fixed that. See ALT0a below.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 12:59, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
- ALT0a:... that there could have been as many as five individuals leaders of the Big Three in World War II?
Approving ALT0, ALT0a, ALT3. Each hook is interesting, cited and verified. I struck ALT1 as per my comment above. I am willing to revisit if other hooks are proposed. Flibirigit (talk) 14:09, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
