Infobox and lead

  • Are you sure raga rock should be listed as a genre of the song since the prose seems to indicate it was an influence rather than a genre?
  • ""Follow Me" is a" → "It is a" although the genres seem disordered here; for instance folk rock is listed as an influence and raga as a genre when it seems to be the opposite from what is written
  • Any instances where there is three points listed in a sentence using "and" should place a comma before the connective
  • "after the duo were" → "after lyme & cybelle were" although the Wrecking Crew are not mentioned in the body
  • Remove overly obvious wikilink on California
  • "with critics noting" → "with a few critics noting"
  • Maybe add an example of one of those compilation albums in the lead?

Background and composition

  • Why is there a comma in the name of Fairfax High School?
  • "from Santagelo's artist name cybelle" → "From Santagelo's artist name, cybelle"
  • In the last sentence, should on the spot be re-worded to something else in your own words at the start since it is cited as a quote at the end?
  • Change BPM to beats per minute to be specific
  • [10][6][11] should be in numerical order
  • You should end the author's quote at 1966 and re word to into a length of 2:30
  • The third paragraph should be moved to be the second instead since this is focused on background info, therefore should come before the song's composition
  • "keyboardist Larry Knechtel and" → "keyboardist Larry Knechtel, and" why are the Wrecking Crew not mentioned here?

Release and reception

  • Remove overly obvious wikilink on California
  • "It fared similarly well" → "The song fared similarly well"
  • "the first on April 23 together" → "the first on April 23, 1966, together"
  • [31][22] should be in numerical order
  • "believe the song" → "believes the song"
  • Should the word noting really be used twice in this same sentence?
  • Remove speech marks around successful since this is a common term
  • Remove wikilink on San Francisco
  • Last para looks good!

Personnel

  • Good

Charts

  • Good

References

  • Could ref 8 be used in ref 9's place since the only page being used for that ref is the same as the last of only two for ref 8?
  • Cite Ultimate Classic Rock as magazine instead on ref 41

Overall: @VirreFriberg: Everything looks good. I made some changes to the hook (bolded the title of the subject article, clarified that Zevon was a singer and removed "as a performer"). Otherwise, good to go. Amanuensis Balkanicus (talk) 13:29, 12 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
