@OlifanofmrTennant and @DoctorWhoFan91, do you guys have any thoughts on the List of actors considered for the part of the Doctor article? I feel it's iffy on notability compared to this one, which at least has a valid split rationale. Given it is pretty closely associated with this one, I figured I'd ask about it here. A number of the audios in question have behind the scenes sections discussing the actors playing the Doctor, and at least one credits the actor in the closing credits (different from the credits given on Big Finish's site) (edit: I was mistaken about this bit). I have or have access to copies of these as well. Does the actor playing the Doctor need to be mentioned non-narratively (audio credits, interviews section) or is narrative only sufficient? Alright. I don't have a copy of the extras for The Crumbling Magician, but out of the others Ghost in the Machine, The Widow's Assassin and Hearts of Darkness all at least mention the actors playing the Doctor in the audio (technically The Jigsaw War does as well but only in reference to him generally doing the Second Doctor in those audios, not to the specific scenario in the audio).
That being said. I know I'm the one who brought up the interviews but citing them may be too close to citing the stories themselves if we're avoiding that, since they're part of the same release. Namenamenamenamename (talk) 13:28, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Billie Piper

The editing community has accepted mention of Billie Piper on the article The Doctor, based on extensive secondary sources saying Gatwa regenerated into Piper.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Why is any mention of Piper being removed here? While there is some uncertainty about exactly what it all means, this can be handled in the text, as done in The Doctor article. Bondegezou (talk) 13:52, 2 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, my crystal ball isn't working. Also, please don't use bare URLs when you add content and use templates like Template:Cite web so that the citation is actually helpful to readers. Gotcha, that’s helpful. I’ve honestly not got anything to add to the discussion that’s already taken place then (it’s all already been said), so no concerns from my side to having mention of BP - I’d just disagree with explicitly stating she is the 16th Doctor, as has already been discussed in the link above.

Say, "Ncuti Gatwa is seen to regenerate into Billie Piper at the end of the story, although Piper's official role remains undisclosed."? Or you can change the text yourself.
