Thanks [[User:Davidelit|Davidelit]]. The override seems obvious now I reread it, however I may think about putting in an explanatory note or similar.

Unofficial list

What is the President_of_Indonesia#Unofficial_list? Were these people actually president or not? I don't understand - please explain. AndrewRT(Talk) 23:47, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know where the expressions "official" and "unoficial" list came from. Syarifuddin Prawiranegara was the acting president of the Emergency Government of the Republic of Indonesia, established in Sumatra in December 1948 on orders from Sukarno after he and most of the government were captured by the Dutch, who were fighting to regain control of their former colony. In July 1949, Sukarno was freed and became president again. In December 1949, the Republic of Indonesia became one of 16 member states in a federal United States of Indonesia (RIS). Sukarno became president of the RIS, so Assaat became acting president of the Republic of Indonesia until the RIS was dissolved in August 1950 and the unitary (and current) Republic of Indonesia was reestablished, whereupon Sukarno became president of it. I'm not happy with the "official" and "unofficial" lists as it is not clear who or what makes them so. This makes the distinction uncited at best and WP:OR at worst. Perhaps footnotes and/or parentheses would be clearer... Davidelit (talk) 07:36, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I had a go at cleaning it up - i don't know if I got it right though. --Merbabu (talk) 08:39, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Presidential Seal?

I need help working on the insignia of the president of indonesia. I'm thinking maybe using the presidential seal (those on headers of lembar negaras) or the presidential medal (worn by them in left chest on formal pics). For both, I couldn't find any pics on the net with adequate resolution for me to reproduce. Need help on this part.

Just finished a bunch of high res insignias for other RI government branches. On my list are: DPR (svg, png), DPD (svg, png), the supreme court (svg, png), BPK (svg, png). All are in commons now.

Hi. I have just taken a photo of the presidential seal from my copy of 30 Tahun Indononesia Merdeka. The quality looks fine. I have e-mail enabled on my account, so click on "E-mail this user" and I'll send you the photo by return. Regards Davidelit (talk) 14:49, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Age?

It says that the candidate must be at least 30 years old however the President must be at least 35 years old. This seems rather, shall we say, incongruous? Neils51 (talk) 03:11, 25 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
