Hello D. I wanted to let you know that I started a thread here [[Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)#Article move gone awry]]. I think that I have reverted things back to where they are supposed to be but, if not, another editor will let us know there. Thanks for your vigilance in this situation and happy editing whenever possible :-) [[User:MarnetteD|MarnetteD]] | [[User talk:MarnetteD|Talk]] 02:11, 22 May 2014 (UTC) |

The characters names in "About a Boy" (US)
What Makes You Beautiful (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
The IMDB page for "About a Boy (2014)" does not specify a last name for Marcus or Fiona. The British version uses Brewer as their last name. I believe that on the TV show (NBC Tuesday nights) they have also used "Brewer". If they haven't, they certainly haven't used the last name "Bowa" so perhaps it's better to simply remove the last name on that page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.200.23.139 (talk) 22:37, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
The Wikipedia.org page for Minnie Driver cites her character's last name as Brewer. This ought to be evidence enough to use the last name "Brewer" when referring to those that sang the song "What Makes You Beautiful". Either that or remove Brewer from Minnie Driver's page as well.

- The Wikipedia page for the NBC series About a Boy describes the characters' last names as Bowa. In the novel by by the same name by Nick Holmby, the characters' last name was Brewster. However, the reference you edited pertains to the TV series, not the novel. See also [1], [2], [3] and others which state the TV series' characters' last name is Bowa not Brewster. I have blocked them. But per your followup to my question it would be nice if you had explained it to that level of detail when you made the original report. I'm sorry for being snippy, but we get so many reports based on patroller's assumptions that I like to see something that leaves no doubt. Daniel Case (talk) 03:48, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
- Noted, thanks. Dwpaul Talk 03:50, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
You made me laugh
That last message on my talk page was hilarious. You make it sound like I get paid for protecting an article from those whom would taint it. If "other eyes" don't want me and my 30 years of experience in that scam rip off business called timeshare, then make whatever changes you like. Then when the timeshare owners come back to the talk pages screaming that the timeshare articles sound like timeshare commercials.......you deal with them. You've put yourself in the middle of this mess, so I now will step aside and the timeshare articles are your responsibility. Please refrain from leaving anymore messages on my talk page. Thank You with a big smile.-Pocketthis (talk) 03:30, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- I have no interest in editing articles about timeshares, and never have had. I do hate to see it when an editor gets so wrapped up in a fairly trivial dispute that they find themselves topic-blocked, and the project suffers as a result. But, seeing that I was getting nowhere, I planned no further action on this, other than sharing (as I have already done) our interaction with the others, given greater authority over the project, who will follow and determine an appropriate action, if any. - Your article did not contain any of the required elements of an encyclopedic article here, and did not establish (with citations of reliable sources) that its subject was notable. This is why it was flagged by two different editors for speedy deletion. I do not have time to write the article for you, but I will add a guide to your Talk page that includes detailed instructions and many aids to creating a good article page on Wikipedia. On a side note, please sign your comments on other users' Talk pages by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) after your comments. Dwpaul Talk 21:01, 20 May 2014 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Veronica Avluv shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
I have also warned the user you are edit warring with. Safiel (talk) 05:26, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
