*I've place the above tag on the article because it is one line that doesn't assert why the player is notable. Please place the holdon tag and address on talk page or if you are going to be contributing this information in the near future. Thank you. == Hi there ==

Was this meant for me? If so you should have posted it, not on your own talkpage, but on mine, which you can reach by clicking on the "instinct" of my signature. I've noticed that the user who originally greeted you, "Mermaid from the sea", seems to have slipped off the radar recently. If you've got questions I recommend you ask Kleinzach, who's very experienced, esp. on operatically-related matters; click here to reach his talk page. Once there click on the "new section" tab near the top of the page. At the bottom of your message just type four ~ in a row, and the system will put your signature there. That'll allow him to click through to your talk page when he replies.
The Christos page is looking a lot more like a usual Wikipedia page now. There were some details, such as the hosting of the radio show that could have remained. Having a read through this page will probably help, as will this one, if you haven't seen them already. Just always make sure there's a reference cited. Don't worry too much about getting the formatting just so: sooner or later someone will come along and tidy it up if need be. Thanks for the help with citations on the Jon Christos page, it was beginning to give me an headache as to what was required. I now have a better insight should more content be added. One question,I have seen some Wikipedia pages with links direct to YouTube videos, is this generally ok for a biography. ? Alfshire 13:12, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on David Williams (footballer born 1990) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Jasynnash2 (talk) 13:38, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
