English: Yvonne Fletcher memorial window in the Lady Chapel of St Leonard's parish church, Semley, Wiltshire. It commemorates a local woman, Yvonne Fletcher, who lived in Semley until she joined the Metropolitan Police in London. On 17th April 1984, while on duty outside of the Libyan Embassy in London, she was shot dead.
The window was designed and made by Henry Haig of Fifehead Magdalen, Dorset and dedicated by the Bishop of Salisbury on 17 April 1988.
At the bottom of the centre light is the badge of the Metropolitan Police. Yvonne's name is along the base of the three lights.
