Wikipedia talk:Administrators' noticeboard
Opinions, but no contributions
Has anybody else noticed an unregistered editor(s) continuously leaving comments at WP:ANI & other Wiki-boards, while making little to know contributions on mainspace? GoodDay (talk) 16:18, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- Is that a problem? How do you know, anyway, whether they have made contributions to mainspace? If their comments are disruptive then we have ways of dealing with disruptive edits, and if not we shouldn't worry about them. Phil Bridger (talk) 19:37, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- Not anymore. The IP-in-question has been blocked as a project sock. GoodDay (talk) 23:07, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
Statement / Request

On behalf of @Marina redaktor and my brother, who previously operated under the name @Paradygmaty, I reaffirm our position regarding Wikipedia and formally repeat our request. [For clarity, we note that having additional accounts is not per se prohibited, provided it is not done in bad faith and is not concealed; our statement and request are made openly and in good faith]. We recently discovered that we again have the technical ability to edit. However, after reviewing our past experiences, we state clearly that we do not wish to participate in this project in any capacity. Our trust in the platform has been irreparably damaged by the removal of a substantial body of work created by Marina Redaktor, despite its factual and material merit. In our view, these removals were driven by personal vendettas rather than neutral editorial standards. It is especially disturbing that even the story of the distinguished American soldier Theodore L. Dobol was erased in the context of these conflicts. It is also a regrettable and telling situation that on 04 January I was deprived of the right to express my position here through the deletion of my post. For that reason, I am submitting this statement again. If any administrator genuinely wishes to assess the value of the removed work, they may review the relevant discussion thread regarding Marina Redaktor’s contributions, as some material may have warranted retention or restoration. That said, we no longer seek reintegration into this community.
We do not want to be associated with Wikipedia as a project or as a community. We also consider it unfair that other long-standing, highly contributing users should be forced to remain part of a community that operates in this manner. Our position is therefore also aimed at ensuring they are not placed in the same situation. Michiganski (talk) 19:42, 9 January 2026 (UTC) | |
- Nobody is forced to participate in Wikipedia.
- And incidentally, why does this post include invisible {{LLM top}} and {{LLM bottom}} markup? AndyTheGrump (talk) 19:52, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- {{LLM top}} and {{LLM bottom}} were added by EditorShane3456 here. 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 20:05, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, also after that user was blocked, all the redlinks added by Marina redaktor (talk · contribs) to Theodore L. Dobol will need to be deleted or a new article will need to be created in its place. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 11:51, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
Misinformation
There appears to be a pattern of edits from user ‘999real’ across multiple Iran-related articles using the same sources and narrative framing. Requesting review for potential coordinated editing or COI Phi Fazel (talk) 08:24, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
- Phi Fazel, this sort of report needs to go to WP:COIN if you are concerned about COI issues. Primefac (talk) 10:23, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
- Phi Fazel As noted at the top of this page, "This is not the page to report problems to administrators, or discuss administrative issues." 331dot (talk) 10:25, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
Not sure how to approach this anonymous user's reverts.
In the page Oleguer Presas there was some discussion [1][2] on whether to use "Spanish player" or "Catalan player". It is a controverisal topic, and it has been extensively discussed, with a RfC in 2018 on the topic, also summarized in Wikipedia:Using Catalan in a biography lede. However, an anonymous IP user keeps reverting my edits, without providing any justification in the change logs nor addressing the calls for a discussion in the talk page. I would appreciate if someone could check it and/or chip in the discussion Bsckr (talk) 10:20, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
- I was under the impression that "Spanish player from Catalonia" was the default. Indeed, here, you have a player who identifies as Catalan and not as Spanish, so not to have the Catalan reference in the lead sentence makes no sense. I would revert it back and if the IP starts up again we can protect the article. Black Kite (talk) 13:09, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
- Also Black Kite, see the offensive edit summary that they make several times. —Fortuna, imperatrix 18:33, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
