I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:C'mon Tigre. Thanks! Rambley (talk) 10:31, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the suggestions, I have modified the text and added article references for the collaborations and awards sections. Citizen Frisco (talk) 10:58, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the little wait, have just been busy in real life. A couple claims in the article are still uncited like the bit of prose in Instrumental Ensemble (which could also be extended, but this isn't a requirement or anything). I would also extend the lede (the summary of the article at the beginning) as well as doing a check of the sources used; from my spot check, I saw a couple blogs which aren't ideal per WP:BLOGS. Rambley (talk) 18:20, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You may also want to work the "Collaborations" section down a bit so it's not just a huge list and only discuss the most notable cases, which also gives you room to talk about what the collaborations were. Rambley (talk) 18:22, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! I've made a few additions that I believe could enrich this page; please check to ensure they're compliant with Wikipedia's policies. I followed your suggestions and added further information to some sections. Regarding blogs that might not be suitable, we can easily remove them—could you please indicate which ones? For the "Collaborations" section, I aimed to summarize all the individuals who have been involved in this project, as I believe it's fair given that the project itself is based on collaboration. If you think it's necessary to streamline the list by removing some names, I can certainly do that, though I'd regret excluding anyone. I've included a brief introduction to justify the list. I'd also like to add a photo—could you help me with that? Citizen Frisco (talk) 12:38, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'll come back and discuss sourcing whenever I have a reliable connection that doesn't block some sources, but it's probably best if you read through WP:RELIABLE. Not every source that covers a topic is reliable, and it's good to use your own judgement in determining the reliability of sources.
In terms of the collaboration section, don't worry about streamlining it; my main concern was that it was just a huge list with no sources. If there are reliable sources that discuss all these collaborations, nothing to really worry about. You may want to partially revise it to make everything well-sourced.
For images, Wikipedia has quite strict guidelines on what images can and cannot be used in articles. Assuming you want to add an image of the band into the article, either take a picture yourself and upload it to Commons or get explicit permission to use another photographer's work. I confess I am not very familiar with Commons myself, so you can either read through their guidelines or ask another, more experienced editor. WP also has non-free files, typically used for album covers or other similar works, but this likely wouldn't apply in your case.
I'd also like to make another note to please use neutral language in articles. Sentences such as "The C'mon Tigre project is fundamentally built upon collaboration, drawing together artists from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and disciplines. Their music thrives on the synergy of these multicultural exchanges." are not very neutral, and avoiding a general promotional tone, especially when you have a CoI, is crucial. got it, thanks :-) Citizen Frisco (talk) 13:57, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: C'mon Tigre (March 25)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Rambley was:
This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This article needs to be rewritten in parts to remove promotional tone. This has been present throughout many versions of the draft and will need to be removed before this can be published. All articles need to be neutral. General formatting also needs to also be taken into account; see WP:MOS.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

no problem, I'm learning ho to do it. no rush. I used mostly text that I copy and paste from articles that I found online, I thought it was the right way to maintain impartiality. I probably chose inappropriate parts that appeared promotional. Anyway, I can correct it and find a neutral wording to express the same facts. I'll revise the text in the coming days. Will I then need to submit the page myself for approval, or will it be an automatic process? Thanks :-) Citizen Frisco (talk) 14:14, 25 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Text copy and pasted from other online articles is considered a copyright violation and will now have to be handled accordingly. If you get the draft to a state where it's neutral and in your own words, you can resubmit it through the AfC process through the button the article. Rambley (talk) 14:16, 25 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
ok, I'll do it. thank you Rambley Citizen Frisco (talk) 14:18, 25 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
To better understand which parts need correction, could you point one out to me? Maybe one of the more nuanced ones rather than a clear-cut example. thanks. Citizen Frisco (talk) 14:33, 25 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Phrases like "international prominence", "explored diverse musical influences", "known for her work in reviving and disseminating Brazilian art scene", "multicultural interactions" are not neutral. If you read a paragraph or section of text and think it could be used in marketing or promotion, it should be removed or re-written.
I have cleared up the visible copyvios as best as I can and have let an administrator know. In future, please do not copy and paste text from articles into Wikipedia pages; it is not allowed and editors can get blocked for repeated copyvios. See WP:COPYPASTE. Rambley (talk) 14:42, 25 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I understand. I'll rewrite everything that's necessary. Citizen Frisco (talk) 15:08, 25 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I’ve removed parts of the text and changed a few things. It seems to me that it no longer contains promotional elements and maintains a neutral tone. I've delete also all the copy and paste. thanks for your patience. Citizen Frisco (talk) 16:03, 25 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
