Autopatrolled

Hi ApricotFoot, thanks for writing all that sports content. I've set your account as wp:Autopatrolled and in case any articles on your watchlist come under pending changes, I've also set your account as a wp:Pending changes reviewer. Cheers and happy editing. A barnstar for you!

Thank you again for your tireless work on improving historical athlete articles. Habst (talk) 14:47, 17 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm very impressed by your articles at User:AlexNewArtBot/AthleticsSearchResult. One thing: Going forward instead of using the generic (athlete) suffix for article titles, could you use more specific disambiguators like (runner) or (sprinter), etc per WP:NCSPATH? Thanks, --Habst (talk) 14:49, 17 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Abbey Stadium

You have reverted a number of my edits relating to Abbey Stadium (Swindon) on different pages. Please stop immediately. Abbey Stadium has won the discussion, and pages on Wikipedia should refer to it as such, not Swindon Stadium. I did leave a talk message here when another member reopened the Swindon Stadium/Abbey Stadium discussion, but my message was deleted by yourself. You have failed to engage in the discussion properly and need to pay heed.

Any further reverts by yourself will involve moderator intervention. Please yield. Icaldonta (talk) 17:21, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the message on my talk page. The problem here is that you had an opportunity to engage in the discussion properly, you promised to provide a "huge list of sources", but when I placed the notice on your talk page you simply removed it and did not engage at all. Whilst one reference to "Swindon Stadium" has been provided by yourself now, this source was not provided at the discussion. The idea that the stadium is known in the greyhound community as "Swindon Stadium", (as you have mentioned on Arc (greyhounds)) yet providing one reference to the CEO calling it that, doesn't really cut it. We need third party references.
Can I kindly ask why you kept silent during the debate, deleted my talk page message, and failed to provide sources at the point of requirement?
I have not threatened you, but moderator intervention may follow, I have demonstrated that I have tried to be reasonable, and you have demonstrated a fair degree of being unreasonable and uncooperative, with due respect. Icaldonta (talk) 17:39, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I have added appropriate citations to the relevant articles relating to the industry. Look at the existing references on the article pages, where I have made edits and you will see the majority state Swindon. Furthermore you will see I have not changed 99% of your edits because they contain a (Swindon) in brackets which is the standard for all tracks within these articles. The only ones I have changed are those where within the industry you would never hear the term Abbey Stadium. ApricotFoot (talk) 17:48, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Right, thank you, but like at Arc (greyhounds), the only source provided by yourself was the CEO calling it that, is not a third-party reference as Wikipedia requires. Icaldonta (talk) 17:51, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
