Preemtively nominating this article to be moved to a new "cancelled Kanye albums"
We know how it goes, there's eough of those to make its own article 37.132.132.244 (talk) 18:19, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
- There may be enough coverage for an article like that (List of cancelled Kanye West albums) or something but Bully isn't cancelled yet. ULPS (talk • contribs) 03:31, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
- "List of unreleased projects by Kanye West" is meant for these. However, we shouldn't move Bully or IAPW there yet because there is no proof these are scrapped. Bully's Spotify page says it is planned to release January 30th (as of now) and we cannot predict if it will be cancelled. See WP:CRYSTAL. TheVectoriser (talk) 19:50, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
Add cover art?
Cover art for the album was posted on Kanye's Instagram and website Coolmanf3 (talk) 02:54, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
wrong cover
when Ye posted that cover on X, it wasn't serious. if you look at all of his other recent posts regarding the album, they use the picture of Saint West that is commonly regarded as the album cover. Take https://x.com/kanyewest/status/1902377081889321448?t=GdEQ5cz0SAFSYHzvPfXIew&s=19 for example IEDIAGCMDcom5048 (talk) 17:14, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- 100% agree. The Bully cover is the one of Saint with the grill. It's wild/crazy that people are using the Nazi cover as the actual cover for the wikipedia article. 73.175.154.71 (talk) 05:12, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
Tracklisting was later updated during the Screening Version
Ye posted 6 versions total of the movie and 3 audio versions.
Initially the Post Post Hype version, which is technically the most recent version. There was only 1 video.
Then the Post Hype Version, which while posted 2nd was actually an earlier version of the above^. This had 2 videos.
Then finally the version that was considered the final -- the Screening Version. This had 3 videos.
The tracklists for all 3 were different.
Because of the rollout's confusion fans chose the tracklist they liked the most as the best and that's what's on Wikipedia's current tracklist.
I recommend using the actual Screening Version's tracklist, which has several differences:
1.) Preacher Man - 3:01
2.) Beauty And The Beast - 1:45
3.) White Lines - 2:13 (this was shortened)
4.) Last Breath - 3:20 (note this was completely changed -- outro redid)
5.) Bully - 2:01 (this was shortened)
6.) Can't Hurry Love - 2:05 (percussion was de-emphasized/removed)
7.) Circles - 2:15 (autotune chorus was removed)
8.) Highs And Lows - 1:45
9.) This One Here - 3:17
10.) Untitled - 1:26 (this is the last track that plays at the end of the film and is noise.) 73.175.154.71 (talk) 05:09, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
- Do you have a source on what the POST HYPE and POST POST HYPE tracklists actually were? Leo1452~enwiki (talk) 22:44, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
Potentially unsourced information
Are there any sources that prove the names of any of the songs in the YouTube video besides Beauty And The Beast 83.226.241.135 (talk) 13:49, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
- I can't find the original post on reddit but the titles were from a tracklist leaked from the Studio Sessions to a discord. They were the final titles before creating the video. It's legit I just can't find the post in my browser history. The titles were from that. 73.175.154.71 (talk) 15:09, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
Proof the main cover is not a Swastika

Go to these pages you will see the thumbnail is the originally-intended artwork.
This is a visual album and that's the official release. No swastika. 73.175.154.71 (talk) 18:27, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
Melrose was removed before there was any beef with Carti.
Untitled was present before the Carti beef. The original tweet 'Ye sent out had 6 versions of the album. This included the Screening Version with the Untitled track. This was way before all the Carti tweets/beef. Additionally, there was another song removed and several songs changed -- it wasn't personal, he made a lot of changes to the project, not just Melrose, way before all the conflict/drama.

December/November confusion
There were multiple December versions. The Screening version used a December version, but not the December version fans got familiar with, which was a later version. Someone keeps editing it to say the Screening Version was the November version when you can see in the tweet and the file name that it was A December version. It wasn't THE December version fans love, but it WAS a December version. 73.175.154.71 (talk) 14:36, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
- To make it explictly clear:
- * The Version Ye uploaded to YouTube is the final revision of the Screening Version
- * The final revision of the Screening Version was labeled and created in December
- * There are other, more recent December versions that were disregarded
- * Fans are confusing these more recent versions
- * The literal file uploaded to YouTube and chosen for Screening was literally marked and labeled and dated in the month of December
- * Anyone editing in November is literally getting the facts wrong 73.175.154.71 (talk) 19:35, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
Stop vandalizing and removing the tracklist
The tracklist has a source but it's been hard to find. It came directly from the studio in a full tracklist. 73.175.154.71 (talk) 16:29, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
- No source, no appearance on the page. Binksternet (talk) 16:43, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
Why the Tracklist Removal Was Unjustified
Removal reason: "No source," but the source could not be provided — it doesn't fit traditional Wikipedia standards.
In the context of modern hip hop journalism and internet-based music culture, Reddit threads like this one are not just casual posts — they often serve as primary sources for tracklists, leaks, and insider studio info, especially when verified by multiple trusted users with a history of accuracy.
While Reddit is traditionally not considered a reliable source under Wikipedia's general guidelines, that framework doesn't always align with how information is actually disseminated in today’s music scenes. In 2025, online communities — especially genre-specific subreddits — have become de facto sources for breaking music news and unreleased content. Dismissing them outright risks ignoring legitimate and verifiable information.
Recognizing why this specific Reddit thread is a legitimate source requires basic familiarity with the modern hip hop ecosystem — especially with how reputability is established in digital spaces. The subreddit in question, r/GoodAssSub, is a well-known and respected hub for Kanye West (Ye) and GOOD Music-related leaks and news. The associated Discord community includes individuals with direct studio ties, and many of the post’s claims have been fact-checked in real time by users with proven access — including individuals known to be part of Ye’s extended team. This isn’t random speculation; it’s documented, collaborative vetting.
I’ve been blocked from editing the page, so I can’t re-add the removed content or the source. But to any future editors: please consider restoring what was removed — the tracklist in question was deleted not because it was false, but because the citation hadn’t yet been added. The deletion, in this case, acted more as censorship than responsible editing.
Let’s not allow outdated sourcing policies to erase documented realities of modern music culture. Wikipedia should reflect how knowledge is actually shared — not just how it used to be. 73.175.154.71 (talk) 05:00, 23 April 2025 (UTC)
Teasing production of PREACHER MAN clip
Hello, the 10th link about Ye producing PREACHER MAN with a clip of him working on a keyboard still goes to the article, but the Instagram clip they have is no longer active. Could we directly link to an Instagram post since none of the articles posted about that clip have it in a watchable state? Gurblet (talk) 05:38, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
Name inconsistency
Some sections and infoboxes mention him as both "Ye" and "West/Kanye West". Since he is releasing this under "Ye" (and is his legal name since 2022), but still popularly known as "Kanye", which should be used? dotXK 19:09, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- From what I've seen, "Kanye West" or "West" should be used in the text itself. "Ye" should be used in the infobox or tracklist credits if he's credited as "Ye" or it's a release under the "Ye" streaming accounts. Wackistan (talk) 14:05, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
