Talk:Accra Metropolitan District

Correct title

Should this article be the Accra Metropolitan Area rather than Accra Metropolitan District? I am looking at [1] and is seems like the district with the capital city is AMA not AMD.

To quote:

"the region [Greater Accra Region] is divided into five areas/districts with their capitals... Accra Metropolitan Area (AMA) Accra, Tema Municipal Area Tema, Ga East District, Ga West District, Dangme West District, Dodowa and Dangme East District, Ada-Foah. "

I intend to move this page to Accra Metropolitan Area as per the link above on ghanadistricts.com unless there are significant objections.--Natsubee (talk) 03:33, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think the correct naming should be Accra Metropolitan Assembly which is the right name the government has given it. And its about time the name is changed to reflect same. Owula kpakpo (talk) 20:39, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think both articles needs to be merged I have moved the name of this article to its original name which is Accra Metropolitan District but moving forward both articles Accra Metropolitan Assembly and this needs to be merged because there is no government entity like the Accra Metropolitan District.
