Northern Ireland competed at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 11 to 21 September 1998.[1] It was Northern Ireland's 14th appearance at the Commonwealth Games.

Northern Ireland finished 13th in the medal table with two gold medals, one silver medals and two bronze medals.[2]

The team was named on 15 June 1998.[3] and included a cricket team, replacing England who withdrew from the 16 team event.[4]
