Jalan Lencongan Barat or Sungai Petani Western Bypass, Federal Route 257, is a major highway bypass in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia.^[1] The Kilometre Zero of the Federal Route 257 is located at Sungai Petani South.

In 2013, the highway was gazetted as Federal Route 257.

At most sections, the Federal Route 257 was built under the JKR R5 road standard, allowing maximum speed limit of up to 90 km/h.

Federal Route 257 acted as bypass of Sungai Petani.

The entire route is located in Kuala Muda District, Kedah.
