Alain Bejjani is a Lebanese business executive and former chief executive officer (CEO) of Majid Al Futtaim Holding.[1]
Biography
Bejjani was born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1973. He attended the Collège Notre-Dame de Jamhour in Beirut and later studied at the Lycée Champlain in Paris. Hei earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Law and a Master’s degree in Civil and Corporate Law from Université Paris XII (Université Paris-Est Créteil).[2][3]
In 2015, Bejjani was appointed chief executive officer of Majid Al Futtaim Holding, and in 2013, he was replaced with Ismail.[4][5][6] He joined Majid Al Futtaim Group in 2006, initially serving as Vice President of Legal Affairs at Majid Al Futtaim Properties, and later as Head of Business Development. In 2014, he was appointed Chief Corporate Development Officer and Brand Officer, with responsibility for corporate strategy and organizational direction.[3][7]
Before joining Majid Al Futtaim, Bejjani worked in the legal sector. From 1999 to 2006, he was a founding partner of the law firm Melkane, Rached, Bejjani & Associates in Lebanon. He also served as Executive Vice Chairman of the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL) from 2001 to 2005.[3][8]
