| Description |
English: The Lady Stone near Dinas Easily-missed standing stone by the A487 a mile or so west of Dinas. A railing in front provides visibility but not access. Its shape suggests the cloaked or shrouded form of a woman, about 7 feet tall. It is said that travellers passing by would doff their caps to 'her'.
The stone occupies a position with sightlines towards the Mynydd Dinas (southeast), Pen Dinas (northeast) and the sea a short way to the north. The nearby farm, on whose land it stands, is called Tre-meini (place of the stone). |
