Serbian Orthodox parishes in Latin America are under the omophorion of His Grace Bishop Kirilo Bojović of the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Buenos Aires and South America of the Serbian Orthodox Church in North and South America, a constituent part of the Serbian Orthodox Church (Patriarchate)..[1]

Argentina has 20 ecclesiastical institutions (churches, chapels, missions, and a monastery) in the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Buenos Aires and South America, and 57 parishes and missions in other countries of South and Central America and two in the Carribean (Dominican Republic and Sint Maarten).

In 1889, the first church community was established in the city of Buenos Aires with the church of Saint Sava, built during World War II. It is considered one of the oldest Orthodox churches in Argentina and the rest of South and Central America and the Caribbean (excluding Mexico which is under the jurisdiction of bishop Maksim Vasiljević of the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Western America[2]).
