Question from Hewhomustnotbenamed1! (22:43, 27 December 2025)
Why can't we make edits ourselves? --Hewhomustnotbenamed1! (talk) 22:43, 27 December 2025 (UTC)

Question from JacquelineFrasca (19:39, 31 December 2025)
Hello there! I structured my first Talk page proposal today and I'm wondering if you could maybe provide me some feedback? Also curious how long it typically takes to hear back from editors and/or have proposed changes activated if they are approved.
You can see the proposal here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:PTC_Creo#Proposal_to_Update_PTC_Creo_Article:_Full_Product_Family_and_Competitor_List --JacquelineFrasca (talk) 19:39, 31 December 2025 (UTC)
- @JacquelineFrasca: If the page is watchlisted it should get assessed fairly quickly. After quickly scanning your proposal it seems it has a bit promotional tone and suggested link placement fails external links policy, and PTC cannot be used as a source there – see the definition of a reliable source. As a future advice, don't use AI (here's why). I will not fulfill the edit request and will leave it to some one else. Happy new year. Best, A09|(talk) 01:10, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for your advice!! Really so helpful. It's great to know we can't link PTC.com whatsoever -- I'll keep that in mind for future article updates. JacquelineFrasca (talk) 16:04, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- I've also updated to remove the external ptc.com hyperlinking -- thank you again for that advice. JacquelineFrasca (talk) 16:25, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
I’m banned from meta wiki
Hello, I’m banned from Meta-Wiki because “LTA 404” from the user Abuse filter, But I haven't done anything wrong. I was just trying to fix a bug on my user page that caused a problem on my phone, and my discussion page was also blocked. I can't request to be unblocked from Meta-wiki. Please unblock my discussion page so I can submit an unblocking request. I haven't made any incorrect edits to the Spanish Wikipedia. El homo sapiens sapiens (talk) 22:42, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
IP socks
Hiya, do we report IPs that follow the same pattern as previously identified socks? Halbared (talk) 16:23, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Halbared: Hey and sorry for answering late. I think it depends on a case basis, some are so obvious they don't need reporting to SPI but rather directly to AIV while others are beneficial for SPI due to sleeper accounts ... otherwise reporting one account and one IP isn't best for SPI procedures as checkusers cannot publicly establish connections between accounts and IPs due to limitations of the privacy policy. Does this answer your questions? All the best in the new year, A09|(talk) 10:39, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hiya, that's perfectly fine, I can well understand you're busy, I just get antsy sometimes. I can see it's nuanced.
- I'll lay it out here, and ask your thoughts. It's Blunderpass. In the areas they like to edit and insert contested edits.
- In List of fictional elements, materials, isotopes and subatomic particles there's a cute bit of vandalism, and Blunderpass did have a history of following me around. this edit notice the amusing edit summary, by 2026-15385-6
- Then we have this edit at 2025 British anti-immigration protests by 2026-13616-3 & this edit at Far-right politics in the United Kingdom by the same, in a place favoured by Blunder inserting contested material both reverted.
- Then this edit by 2026-13483-2 in close timing to the previous, inserting more material. In close timing to this edit on the Malta page by 2026-13784-3.
- There are also these three edits inserting previously removed material by the sock. Placed by 2026-12135-1 and 2026-12377-2
- I don't know how this IP stuff now works but some of these edits I think are clearly Blunderpass, the ones inserting previously removed material by the sock as clear stand outs. Halbared (talk) 18:03, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Halbared: Hey, haven't forgotten, just wanted to give a thorough explanation from my POV as opinions on how obvious certain IPs/socks are is nuanced. These new temporary accounts are all IPs and certain people can see the underlying IP (admins, CUs, EFMs, and those who ask for it and have a valid use case ...). The new policy also doesn't allow public commenting on the underlying IP as that would defeat the reason TAs were set in place (cause here is different, due to EU privacy legislature if I recall correctly). If you think these are the same (behaviourally they look similar, similar interests, overlapping usage timespans) I'd report them to SPI since I don't recall Blunderpass being that "obvious" (when compared to other, more persistent and sockfull vandals) but what CUs may give back will be limited. Hopefully I've explained myself thoroughly, A09|(talk) 15:04, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- You have, thank you, I don't wish to mither too much, I can imagine how heavy your schedule is, I just had time on my hands today. I agree that Blunderpass isn't that obvious, it took me some time to stitch it all together. Halbared (talk) 15:59, 10 January 2026 (UTC)

Issues related to Nina Krajnik articles
Hi! I noticed that there are apparent COI issues with articles about Nina Krajnik in several languages, and I saw that you've done several helpful actions to address this, including proposing auto-translated articles for deletion and adding cleanup tags to the English-language article. It looks like there are several single-purpose accounts that have been creating and editing these articles, including: Zizomiz, Zigz234, Lido76, Getseman56, Novicela54, Antarct12, Masin287, ~2025-41482-97, ~2025-41336-28, ~2025-41214-48, ~2025-40806-33, ~2025-40610-11, ~2025-40486-33, ~2025-34506-86. Do you know of any effort to investigate the users involved? Is there a good place I can put this information to encourage cross-wiki administrator review? Thanks! Dreamyshade (talk) 04:50, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Dreamyshade I will provide details in private but rest assured I've notified appropriate people/did deletions myself so it should be resolved in the upcoming days. Listed accounts were related, with no comment on the temporary ones, but still pending enwiki checkusers to confirm my findings. A09|(talk) 10:44, 8 January 2026 (UTC)

Issue with IP editor
Hello there. I have recently had issues with an anonymous editor. They have been regularly editing out sourced content regarding Bosnian former footballer Miralem Pjanić. Specifically, they have been removing cited, relevant content about Pjanić being "regarded as one of the best midfielders of his generation, and "one of the greatest free-kick takers of all time." I have sourced this info with relevant references all naming him as one of the best free-kick takers ever and a world-class midfielder of his generation, which is easily verifiable (I even replaced some older sources with newer ones specifically regarding Pjanić as such). These are some of the IP's pointless edits: 1, 2, 3. Their most recent edit was him reasoning by saying: "removed bs". I think you know what he means by "bs" lol. I could use some help pin resolving this issue. Bakir123 (talk) 17:11, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
