Shannon Joan McGregor (born 7 December 1999) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Celtic and the Scotland national team.[3][4]
She began her career at hometown club Aberdeen[5] before joining Hibernian in December 2017, aged 18.[6][7] She won three trophies[8] and made well over 100 appearances for the Edinburgh club,[9][10] also recovering from two serious ACL injuries, before joining Celtic in 2024.[11][12]
She has represented Scotland at various youth levels.[5][13] She received a first call-up to the senior squad in October 2024,[14] and made her full international debut that month in a Euro 2025 play-off against Hungary.[13]
Personal life
In June 2022, McGregor became engaged to Hibernian teammate Siobhan Hunter on holiday in Tenerife.[15] In January 2024, both were given a leave of absence by the club after Hunter's mother suffered serious injuries in an accidental fall, coincidentally also occurring in Tenerife.[16][17]
