Ramsey image

Is there a reason the picture of Frank P. Ramsey is not public domain? It seems old enough. Cake (talk) 06:18, 26 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

For Commons, pictures need to be public domain in the US and the source country - the UK in this case. Since the photographer is not known, I think the copyright status is unclear for the UK (although maybe {{PD-UK-unknown}} would work, I'm not sure). I think it would be ok to locally host on the English Wikipedia though as public domain in the US using {{PD-USonly}}. There might be others here with more knowledge of the copyright tags etc. who can correct me if that's wrong though. Shapeyness (talk) 16:41, 4 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

In Template:Analytic philosophy, David Chalmers is placed in the Australian realism category. While he is (technically) Australian, I can't find any mention of Australian realism or John Anderson on his page or any mentions of him on the Australian realism page. His academic connections to Australia seem to be limited to his University of Adelaide BSc in Mathematics. From what I can tell, when he was added to the navbox the category was just labelled "Australian" (Special:Diff/941857101). I don't know anything about Australian realism, so I'm interested in what the folks here think. Antibabelic (talk) 14:05, 26 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Good point. He is not exactly a realist. Cake (talk) 22:32, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The article Rule of inference is currently a candidate for featured article status. It hasn't received enough feedback so far, so reviews and other comments are appreciated at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Rule of inference/archive1. Phlsph7 (talk) 11:09, 28 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
