This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Switzerland. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion
Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
  1. and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
  2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Switzerland|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
Removing a closed AfD discussion
Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
Other types of discussions
You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Switzerland. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
Further information
For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

Stefan Bollinger (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

Not meeting general notability. The available source are only of brief event-based nature - connected to his appointment as the CEO Unicorbia (talk) 12:31, 6 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Could you provide me with a specific area where it does not meet the guideline?
Presumed - Reuters, Financial times etc have covered him
Significant coverage - Reuters, Financial times etc have covered him - a google search can find more info on him
Reliable - The content is largely based off the articles cited
Sources - Most sentences have one to two sources
Independent of the subject - None of the sources cited have been personally written by him WxProHaha (talk) 10:04, 8 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. 594 hits on Swissdox makes it hard to choose what sources to link here. From the NZZ alone, Bollinger clearly meets the GNG. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]. Although his appointment was announced in the middle of 2024, he has only actually been CEO since 9 January 2025 (see link 4 above), so you can't really expect him to have tons of coverage unrelated to him being the new CEO...or can you? Links 1 and 2 above are actually not about his appointment as CEO! And from before his appointment, we have this interview with a short biography at the end [8] and several mentions in another article where he was interviewed as an expert [9]. Add to this that basically all of these stories and many more opinions have been covered in other outlets, like Reuters [10], this very in-depth piece in the Handelszeitung [11], Tages Anzeiger [12], and SRF [13]. Kurt Künzli (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

This subject fails WP:GNG and WP:NBIO. Sources are trivial mentions ([14], affiliated sources ([15], [16]) and a whole bunch of primary source links. Nothing else comes up for this particular Kurt Künzli; it's a promotional bio by an editor with an apparent COI who has been creating several vanity pages for members of an extended family. • Delete. The only reference that might count towards the GNG is ref 3, ("The Book of Uplyme"), since I do not have access to it. The others are nowhere close. My search of Swiss newspapers turned up several possibly notable Kurt Künzlis, including a hotelier from Chur, but nothing on this fellow. Toadspike [Talk] 12:24, 6 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment Looking on the British Newspaper Archive under an anglicized spelling there seem to be several hits, search results here [17]. Unfortunately I don't have a subscription so I cannot evaluate them but they include Western Daily Press, Daily Express and some hyper local coverage.Canary757 (talk) 14:38, 6 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I also do not have access, but it looks like there is some good stuff there. I would appreciate if someone with access could analyze this. I am striking my delete !vote for now. Toadspike [Talk] 09:30, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have a British Newspaper Archive subscription either, but from the snippets in the search results they seem like routine and trivial mentions of Kurt Kunzli in the context of the family jam business. I'd need to see someone bring some confirmed examples of WP:SIGCOV, not just results in a set of search results, before I withdraw the nomination. (I searched in the databases accessible through the Wikipedia Library and did not find anything that would qualify.) Dclemens1971 (talk) 18:25, 8 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment There is some coverage in the British Newspaper Archive - which makes it clear that the marmalade business was a joint initiative of Kurt and Jill Kunzli, the cottage belonged to Jill, and the first marmalade recipe that they made and sold was from Jill's grandmother. I think if anything is going to be notable, based on coverage in the BNA, it's going to be the marmalade business (which currently is a redirect to Wilkin & Sons).
