Suspected sockpuppets


Firstly, I'd like to point to Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User_conduct/Assistance#The Conduct of User:Swankytank, which is an on-going discussion of user User:Swankytank. There, there two accounts used to harass user User:Ronnie42. Both of the accounts interacted with him on that RFC page [1] [2], on his talk page [3] [4], and then with each other [5] [6]. One is User:Jimminy_Swiggles - whose talk page is a copy of User talk:Jolley2662, (edit happened here [7]) and user page is a copy of User:Dawynn (copied here [8]. His other account, which appears to be a sleeper, is User:Stronger Than Paul. || Tako (talk) 00:19, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Both Swankytank and Stronger Than Paul accounts have referred to Ronnie42 as Ronald, [9], [10], [11]. The third diff example shows Swankytank change from 'Ronald' to 'Ronnie'. (Why?) || Tako (talk) 01:52, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I just found another account, user:Williamsburgland, which seems to be the same person as Swankytank, the account is old and inactive, so I've added it to the sockpuppets, rather than make it the main account. (I dunno if that's the correct thing to do, but, it's there for information.) He has had encounters with Ronnie before, in June of 2012 [12], to the point where Williamsburgland listed Ronnie42 at ANI. [13]. Apparently, he's returned with a multitude of sockpuppet accounts simply to get back at Ronnie42. || Tako (talk) 01:27, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Both accounts - Stronger Than Paul [14], and Jimminy Swiggles [15] were created on the same day, when Williamsburgland 'retired' [16]. The Swankytank account's first edit was on an article that Williamsburgland was quite invested in. [17] || Tako (talk) 01:35, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Swankytank replied to this very SPI under an IP - user:76.28.87.5 - and then later changed his signature to his account. This IP is apparently blocked from editing, and yet is also Swankytank. This IP has vandalized the Nifelheim page with personal attacks used [18] towards a user Williamsburgland and Swankytank both had issues with. Two users that apparently have issues with lots, and I mean lots, of people. Also, while I admit I forgot to sign back in this IP is a LAN, and looking at the edit history I've got to say I'm not the only one who uses it.
Also - it's odd that you and Ronnie both joined in 2007, both edit sporadically, both made some immature edits in your formative wiki years and both seem to be interested in the same content.
I've said all I'm going to say - I am not using any other screen names and I don't see any evidence that I am. If any of those other users are fine... whatever. It's just wikipedia. --Swankytank (talk) 02:02, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I feel this is a bad faith request, but by all means perform a check user. I ask that you also perform a check user on the contributor above as well as Ronnie42, as he seems to be unusually invested in this dispute. --Swankytank (talk) 01:10, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Also, just a note - this guy didn't bother to follow rule seven of the guide on opening a sock puppet investigation, he just likes yelling at people. So now that Takuy has had a chance to follow the rule and I've had a chance to look at the users I am, you know, abusing, I see that there's one guy who started here on December 26 and as I've already said, got scared off by Ronnie, one guy who made made a bunch of edits on the 29th of January, including a bogus warning on my page, and another guy who hasn't done anything here since June. WTF. I checked both the tools above and they say we've all edited on ROnnie's page... am I the same person as everyone who's contributed to his page?
