User:Guotaian made an accusation in bad faith in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Malaysia#Standardized Languages for Infoboxes ([1]), followed by User:Hello top 1123 in support. Upon further checking, Guotaian had been blocked most recently for edit warring in a completely unrelated case, and it appears that both User:Guotaian and User:Hello top 1123 were actively editing in identical topics (politics and conservatism in China). hundenvonPG (talk) 09:41, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@HundenvonPenangUser:Hello top 1123 is my second account, which I use on mobile. However, sockpuppetry—or "socking"—refers to the misuse of multiple Wikipedia accounts, which I have not engaged in. I did not misuse my second account in any way, and I was only blocked for one day. During that time, I did not use this alternate account at all.

• I participated in discussions with both accounts in another topic area and it was not clear to me that they were the same person. Perhaps you didn't mean to mislead, but you did. The disclosure on User:Hello top 1123 was only added after this SPI was filed, and still does not specify which account it is an alternate account of.   Thank you for adding the disclosure now. I strongly suggest changing the disclosure template on Hello top 1123 to include the username Guotaian ({{User alternative account|Guotaian}}) and adding a disclosure to the Guotaian account as well (e.g. Template:User alternative account name).
