It's been three years since there has been a Wikimeetup in Hyderabad. It's high time we meet and discuss about the project and it's progress. After intensive discussions, it has been decided that the English Wikipedia and the Telugu Wikipedia users will have a joint meet: The First ever such meet here.

The 1st multilingual Hyderabad Meetup and Edit-a-thon was held on 20 December 2015 at Golden Threshold, Abids. Originally conceived as a joint Telugu-English Wikipedia Meetup, it had representation from the Hindu and Urdu Wikipedias’ as well making it a multilingual meet.

The Meetup and Edit-a-thon was attended by 20 people from Hyderabad. It included Wikipedians from the projects of Telugu, English, Hindi, Urdu Wikipedians and Commons.

Golden Threshold, Abids, Hyderabad

10:00 AM onwards

• To get to know each other and their works
• Introduce The Wikimedia India Chapter and its functions
• To get to know about the CIS-A2K initiatives and programs. (unfortunately cancelled)
• To introduce the Telugu Wikimedia projects to the Wikimedians of other languages and motivate them to join the projects.
• Edit-a-thon to let users know about the translation tool and perform translations from the English Wikipedia to the Telugu Wikipedia
