WJBscribe (talk · contribs) I'd like to volunteer to help out as a mediator.
In terms of mediation experience, I generally find myself able to calm disputes around the Wiki and to focus particpants on issues rather than personalities. My biggest task was helping out in a dispute at Talk:Anesthesia about the coverage of nurse anesthesiologists in that article following protection of the page due to edit warring. It took over a month to reach an agreed version (and get a fork under control) but the article has been stable since, with the parties ultimately collaborating on finding sources. I have volunteered on WP:MEDCAB cases on occasion, though most have either been ended easily or the disputants have lost interest over the course of the mediation.
As to community support, I had an RfA a couple of month ago which was successful. Several supporters expressed the view that they found me calming in disputes and felt I did good work in that area. I was particularly pleased to get a support from each side in the Anesthesia dispute. WjBscribe 06:44, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Mediation committee:
- Unreserved support, clearly has the trust of the community who gave a resounding opinion at his RfA, has plentiful prior experience in resolving disputes with MedCab and just giving informal 3O's, and is intelligent and articulate. I also thank him for helping ease the RfM backlog. Good luck! Daniel Bryant 09:47, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Outside opinions:
- I certainly support WJB's request - he is one of the hardest working/dedicated admins we have. From what I've seen of him, his communication skills and ability to solve disputes is second to non. Ryan Postlethwaite 22:22, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
