• Keep, The fight song of this school has inspired and motivated, embodied the experience, and represented cherished memories as well as future ambitions and earned potential of tens of thousands. The blanket move to obliterate all articles on college fight songs not only appears a petty and ignorant attempt to wipe from history, as embodied in this, the greatest single repository of human knowledge ever assembled, but to declare worthless, that which has emotional and formative influence on all whom it has touched. Beyond the intrinsic worth of a deeper understanding of these cherished attributes of our higher-education-centric world, these articles represent the hard and good faith work of hundreds of authors whose contributions to this Wikipedia should not be discarded so lightly. To wipe-out the entire catagory of such significant works is an attack on the collegiate tradition, an attack on a way of life, an attack on music history and should it succeed, nothing short of a topic-specific equivilent to the burning of the library of Alexandria in its denial of knowledge to scholars and future generations.--Rwberndt (talk) 00:18, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
