I guess this is about stolen statutes, but I don't see how, even cleaned up, this is an encyclopedia article. — e. ripley\talk 22:13, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Do you have any references from reliable sources that suggests there is a connection between the two? (If not, it's just your own speculation, which is not relevant to this discussion) -- Boing! said Zebedee 10:52, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, may qualify for speedy as it contains no assertion of notability. Otherwise, it's a single sentence asserting that something happened. An encyclopedia article it is not. Heather (talk) 15:47, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep this article have notability(13 statues has been stolen and vanishing going continuesly) but it's very stub and need more infromationAmir (talk) 22:24, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Do you have any reliable references from multiple independent sources to show that this is any more than a short-term crime spree (the reference given says it's only in the past month) and that it has any encylopedic value? If not, it's just one of the millions of news reports of crimes that happen all over the world every day (albeit an impressively brazen one), and they don't all get Wikipedia articles -- Boing! said Zebedee 10:57, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- 1-first reason is some refs. tell that it hadn't stolen for money and it's from prohibiting of statue in Islam Shari 2-I found some independent refs. but all of them is Persian:

- Weak keep. It's always difficult to determine the longer-term notability of very recent events, but these events have attracted coverage around the world including in The Washington Post[1] and The Guardian,[2] which reports that Iranian officials have blamed "the secret hand of England" for the thefts, so maybe the statues will end up in the British Museum in the next room to the Elgin Marbles. - Well, we'll need something to fill the room should the Greeks ever get their stuff back ;-) -- Boing! said Zebedee 12:45, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
