Verena Hanshaw (née Aschauer, born 20 January 1994) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Women's Super League club West Ham United[2] and the Austria national team.[3][4][5][6] She previously played for USC Landhaus Wien in the Austrian Frauenliga, Herforder SV and Cloppenburg.[7]
She was an Under-19 international.[8]
International career
Hanshaw was part of the 23-women squad who represented Austria and reached the semi-finals at the UEFA Women's Euro 2017.[9]
Hanshaw was part of the squad that was called up to the UEFA Women's Euro 2022.[10]
