Question

I don't understand something about your edit. We as a matter of course always indicate the year or years (if uncertain) of birth in a bio in the first sentence. But you have deleted - again? - such reference completely here. You must have something in mind, but I am not clear why you would leave the first sentence without any reference to her year of birth. Thanks. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Danielle_Sassoon&diff=prev&oldid=1277329335 2603:7000:2101:AA00:44F9:2D4:FCC9:BE1D (talk) 06:41, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oops! In reverting the edit where two years were listed, I assumed it would say "(born 1986)", not eliminate that parenthetical info entirely. I have added that back in. Thanks for the heads up! ViridianPenguin🐧 (💬) 16:13, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Understood. Thanks. Best. --2603:7000:2101:AA00:BC7A:7C81:F7C1:E537 (talk) 03:54, 25 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. My concern with your revision

here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Danielle_Sassoon&diff=prev&oldid=1278627874

is that it opens up the (mis)reading of that sentence to mean "Sassoon sent a letter ... stating her intent to resign (if forced to drop the charges) for explicitly political reasons".

I know that is not how you intend it to be read. But reconstructing the sentence in that manner does leave open that interpretation. In my reading. Thanks. 2603:7000:2101:AA00:3168:4A15:C6E5:3F08 (talk) 22:45, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure I follow. Sassoon stated that she would resign if forced to [action] for [reason], a simple conditional sentence, whereas your rewording is an interruption of "if forced to drop the charges" with the rationale. Moving "for explicitly political reasons" to the end of the sentence separates it from her resignation threat for clarity. ViridianPenguin🐧 (💬) 23:50, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It's not the most serious issue in the world. But the way I read it, as recast, it is open to two interpretations. One of which is that she intended to resign " for explicitly political reasons." I'm trying to find a way to close out the possibility of that second reading (obviously a misreading). --2603:7000:2101:AA00:3168:4A15:C6E5:3F08 (talk) 00:21, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Danielle Sassoon

On 8 March 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Danielle Sassoon, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Danielle Sassoon, a former acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, credits her study of the Talmud for preparing her for her future legal career? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Danielle Sassoon. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Danielle Sassoon), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
