User warning templates

Since you asked me about this IRL:

You can find a full list of every user warning message at wp:Template index/User talk namespace. Most of the time, the {{uw-vandalism}} series of templates suffices, though do use the more specific templates if you can see a reason for it.

Use the templates by adding this to a user's talk page: {{subst:uw-vandalism1|Vandalized page}} ~~~~

Make sure to substitute the templates (i.e. use {{subst:templatename}}, not just {{templatename}}), and to sign all your talk page messages with four tildes.

Also, if you have more questions about Wikipedia, you can ask at the wp:Teahouse instead of asking me. Nowadays, I usually only edit to fix minor errors I notice while reading, so I'm not very experienced regarding things like writing article content. (I have some experience in anti-vandalism because a few years ago I was bored and didn't have much else to do.)

By the way, since we also discussed this IRL, I figured out how to set access dates on citations. :) —76.212.74.243 (talk) 03:13, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
