Regarding the notability of Draft:Cangjie (programming language)
In this entry, the Chinese references consist of numerous publications about the language, and the main sources of news reports are common Chinese tech media. These publishers and news outlets do not have close ties with Huawei; at most, there might be some nationalistic fervor in their reporting. I am also unsure about the connection between English media, such as Huawei Central, and Huawei itself.
For the notability of this entry, I referred to Swift (Programming Language) and found that many of its references point to Apple's official documentation. The same phenomenon does not appear in the Cangjie entry. What Cangjie might be missing is something similar to how the Rust Book mentions its influence. However, due to its status as a nascent language, such information is unavailable.
Could you provide more examples that would help this entry achieve notability? 内存溢出的猫 (talk) 05:30, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hello 内存溢出的猫. I'll admit to not reading Chinese, so I may be wrong about some of them. What is needed is independent coverage which is in depth evaluation of the language and which show both a knowledge programming languages and experience using this one. Except for Reference 7 that cites usage statistics from the PI of the POWER project, all other 23 references are peer-reviewed academic papers published independently. These journals are completely independent of NASA, or in other words, NASA has absolutely no influence on these journals as far as the decisions on publishing these papers are concerned. And this applies to the nearly 200 publications listed in Reference 4. --Roland (talk) 05:39, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
Roland (talk) 05:39, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
Hi Roland. A single NASA author on a publication means it's not an independent secondary source. Stuartyeates (talk) 08:33, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, Stuart: A small number of those publications are indeed by NASA people as co-authors, and these papers concern the scientific aspects of the POWER project, and they got published through peer-reviews for their academic values, not because they were from NASA.
- Most importantly, most other publications cited here and listed in Ref. 4 are not by NASA people, but by people of institutes of many countries totally independent of NASA. Ref. 11 explicitly says, "Assessment of solar radiation resource from the NASA-POWER reanalysis products ......". Roland (talk) 22:47, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- The list of publications listed in https://power.larc.nasa.gov/docs/references/external/publications/ aren't about NASA POWER though, they're ones that use the data. If you want a second opinion, you're more than welcome to re-submit and see what another edit thinks. Stuartyeates (talk) 07:40, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

Hi Roland. When you say "Some of my colleagues have some concerns about the article." it makes it sound like you (and/or your employer) have a connection to the subject. Have you read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest? Stuartyeates (talk) 23:49, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
Request for review, Finance & Investment afc
Hi @Stuartyeates
Hoped you might be able to please assist in review and/or approval for my first draft submission: Draft:Gerry Cardinale It's been two months waiting in review, I've tagged multiple groups, trying here now in Finance and Investment as this individual is an investor. Saw you were recently active in afc in this group and so might be able to help, or point me in a better direction? Many thanks! Yachtahead (talk) 20:58, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, Yachtahead , I'm unable to review that one. Stuartyeates (talk) 03:41, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

The article Ann Diamond (midwife) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Doesn't seem to meet WP:Notability. Tried to find sources beyond the one cited and couldn't.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Marleeashton (talk) 02:41, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you Marleeashton. I see that another user has already dealt with this. Stuartyeates (talk) 18:44, 15 January 2025 (UTC)

- Draft:Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Hi Stuartyeates - Thank you for taking the time to review the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust page. I've updated a number of the cited sources. There are instances, however, where I've linked to primary sources (like the staff page as the source reference for the current leadership and the foundation's charter to document the governance) as they are the most authoritative sources for information.
Will that be an issue? Or should I just drop those sections of the page?
Best, Emily

- Part of the problem is that the crypto industry is brimming with conflicts of interest and self-interested publication outlets. Almost none of the crypto press counts as a secondary source for our purposes. Looking around the only thing I'd trust as a reliable secondary source is https://www.heise.de/en/news/Linux-Foundation-New-organizations-for-blockchain-and-developer-relations-9881458.html which isn't in the article. Stuartyeates (talk) 23:00, 16 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking the time to reply. I've updated the citations, including adding the one you suggested above, and resubmitted the page.
