Dear JBW, I am sorry to voilate the policy from Wikipedia, I was not aware of the high promotional content I added, I would like to add a page for Clifton Hotels so we can speak about the history and philosophy of the company. Also to be more known in Bristol area and a place where people can check how the company has been depeloping. I would like to change my user name and I would like to edit the previous article but I'm not 100% sure how to do it.

You are lucky that I came back and checked this page, for a reason unconnected to your messages above; otherwise it is perfectly likely that nobody would ever have seen those messages. If you follow the instructions above on how to request an unblock, following the bold word Appeals, this page will be automatically added to a list of unblock requests, which is checked by administrators. Unfortunately, however, even then, you may have a long wait before your request is dealt with, as there's a very large backlog of pending requests. I also warn you that no administrator is going to unblock you so that you can cause your client's business "to be more known", which is to say to promote it. That is in fact the main reason for the block. If you would like to contribute to the encyclopaedia in other ways then by all means go ahead with requesting an unblock, but if you have no interest in editing for any purpose other than publicising your client then my advice is that your time will be better spent doing so elsewhere, because it isn't going to happen on Wikipedia.

I can change your username for you if you like. However, I have not yet done so, because once it is changed, if you try to log in under your old username, you will get a message telling you that the username or password is wrong, which might make you think that you have lost access to your account. (Non-administrator comment) Hi @QrterLTD:, I took a quick look and noticed that your article appears to be cut & pasted from the subject's website. If you are unblocked, you'll need to avoid copyright violations like this. I'm not an admin so can only see the first couple of paragraphs, but they were identical to the website. :This is an encyclopedia, so you'll also need to understand how neutral wording should always be used. Not every business or organisation is entitled to an encyclopedia article about them - strict notability criteria applies in each case, whilst verifiable, reliable sources are compulsory. In addition, you'll need to follow the paid editing guidelines to suggest any possible edits since you're an employee.

I realise this seems like a lot, because it is - you'll need to understand and follow each of these policies and more when editing. Being honest, it's unlikely that you'll be unblocked to create an article for your employer - it's difficult enough for an experienced editor to write about something they have a financial interest in, so it'll be that much harder for an inexperienced editor like yourself.

This isn't intended as any sort of disparagement against you as a person, but rather an encouragement if you're interested in contributing towards Wikipedia in other, unrelated areas. Maybe in the future, when you've learned more about how to edit in Wikipedia, you might be in a better position to consider writing about your employer (following all the policies, of course!).

If you're interested in contributing towards Wikipedia in subjects that aren't related to your employer, please answer 331dot's question about the topics you're interested in working on.

However, if you're only interested in creating an article about your employer, I'm not sure whether you're in the best position to be doing that right now.
