The European Destubathon

You are invited to participate in The European Destubathon in April. Almost $3000 in Amazon voucher prizes which can be used to buy books for content, though it can also be treated as an editathon if you're not interested in competing! Minimum content to be added to each article just to ensure that they're over a stub, though longer expansions also welcome. Entries at the end of the contest will be tipped into the 50,000 Destubbing Challenge and European Challenge/20,000 Challenge for UK and Ireland entries. Previous contests were really enjoyable and I'm hoping this one will be too! Sign up if interested. Thanks! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:39, 6 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi HJM! Hope life is treating you well. I wanted to reach out about utrs:101021. Do you have any thoughts / objections to granting the IPBE? The block notes there are innocent users on the range, and the account has a non-zero number of contributions to Simple English WP (though they would not even be eligible for autoconfirmed there). Of course, your magic googles might say something else. Feel free to reply either here or at UTRS :) Best, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 00:41, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@HouseBlaster if I've made a note like that in the log and the user seems legit (most of my blocks like that are aimed at spam/UPE), IPBE is probably the way to go. I'm not very active at the moment so consider this permission to do what you think is best. :) HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 00:42, 9 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome, thank you! It looks like, in this case, Deepfriedokra sent them to checkuser-en-wp@wikipedia.org, but thank you for the note. I'll keep that in mind, and hope that IRL is treating you well :) HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 03:50, 9 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
