DYK review
Hello. I've reviewed the DYK nomination for this article – note that some issues need to be addressed. Quandarie13:13, 2022-09-20
I got a demand for $750 to prevent my page from being deleted
It came from someone with an email address @wikiadministrators.com who said my page (Jerry Avorn) could be deleted if I didn't hire him to fix it. Is this legit? Please email me so I can send you his full note. I'm eager to have my page be compliant, but this seemed odd.
Thanks!

- Nope, this is a scam. This page has details - the vast majority of legitimate Wikipedia editors are volunteers, and it's extremely rare for money to change hands for edits (and when it does, it must be disclosed). The first link has some details on reporting the scam - doing that would be helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions! AviationFreak💬 21:14, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
- I really appreciate your quick response! Will get back to you soon for advice on proceeding further.
- Thanks!

Question from Cameron Macaulay (04:20, 13 March 2025)
Hello, I have post a bit content on this wikipedia page "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_SaaS" but it gets removed by wikipedia even I wrote content from myself and put link. Could you please let me know why it gets removed --Cameron Macaulay (talk) 04:20, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Cameron Macaulay: Good question! The reference you provided seems to link to the website of a company focused on selling this sort of product/service, and doesn't contain a substantial unbiased description of the content it's provided as a reference for. This page has information on the kind of independent sources Wikipedia values. I will also note that the page you linked seems like it has some promotional aspects already, but part of improving that problem is not allowing new unreliable sources to be added. - Thank you for your response. I have related content to post on wikipedia. May I add the blog link as an reference Cameron Macaulay (talk) 06:01, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
- I have my company. Could you also please guide me how i can create company page on wikipedia Cameron Macaulay (talk) 12:09, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
- Blog links are generally not considered reliable sources per this guideline. For a more comprehensive discussion of what sources Wikipedia considers reliable, see this page. Articles for companies on Wikipedia are subject to the notability guidelines for companies, and the vast majority of companies do not meet this standard. If you believe a company does though, and does not currently have an article, this page has guidance on creating an article. AviationFreak💬 22:54, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

Hey! I'm Stu, I Have Created My Account Just Today, And I Am Wondering About How Do I Create More Articles And How To Prevent People From Editing My Own Articles, Thank You. Regards - Stu --Stustarix (talk) 12:55, 18 March 2025 (UTC)
- By The Way Stu Again, These Are Just Simple Questions! Stustarix (talk) 12:59, 18 March 2025 (UTC)

Question from Dollywink (16:25, 28 March 2025)
Hi there, nice to meet you! I've created an account because I want to help Wikipedia stay as accurate and up to date as possible. How do new editors get started? --Dollywink (talk) 16:25, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Dollywink: Welcome! This page has loads of information and links to various important guidelines and policies; it is summarized a bit here. If you're interested in just jumping right in, that's great too (and is my personal preference)! Really the best way to do that is to find articles on a topic you have an interest or expertise in, reading through them with an eye towards referencing, grammar/spelling, and any information that is either (a) missing or (b) extraneous. Hopefully this is helpful, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to let me know! Happy editing! AviationFreak💬 20:20, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
