- 2021 Swedish government crisis — On 21 June 2021, the Swedish government was ousted in a no-confidence vote in the Swedish Riksdag.
- Andersson Cabinet — On 24 November 2021, Magdalena Andersson became the first female prime minister in Swedish history and thus formed the Andersson cabinet.
- 2022 Nord Stream gas leaks — On 26 september 2022, a mystery leak on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline was discovered northeast of the Danish island Bornholm. Hours later more were discovered on NS 1.
