About me I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Northwestern University and a Faculty Associate of the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. You can find more information about me on my website.

Research & teaching I conduct research and teach classes about topics like Wikipedia and other kinds of large-scale online collaboration. My current undergraduate class, Online Communities & Crowds, includes a series of Wikipedia assignments and has an Education Program course page. I also participated in the Cambridge-area Wikipedia reading group during 2010-2011 and organized the Inaugural Chicagoland WikiResearch Hackathon in Fall, 2013. I edit the encyclopedias and other projects intermittently.
