The destroyer in this photo has often been incorrectly labeled as Hayashio. It is actually Hayashimo of the Yūgumo class
In my recent edits to this article, I added a picture gallery of at least one photograph of each of the 19 ships of the Kagerō class destroyers, that is all except 2, the Hayashio and Hatsukaze. It appears that there are sadly no easily accessible photographs of those ships. However, I'm sure at least one photo of either of them is just somewhere out there on the internet or in some obscure book or museum just waiting to be found, several photos of more notable IJN ships just have a stray unnamed destroyer or two in the background. If anyone has any information on any existent photographs of these ships, I would be forever thankful. Micheal Harrens (talk) 05:14, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
