Modified a part of the first sentence of the second paragraph in the lead section to read a neutral 'avail' from a negatively connoted 'take advantage of'. Added multiple citation requests. I think the name of the Upper Caste section should also be modified to reflect what is being discussed in it (Description, perhaps?). The current name is not specific enough.
