Original Japanese publication info?

Game Freak2600 tracked down a lot of details about this book and popped them all into an infobox, but was unable to track down the original Japanese publication date and publishing company. All the details are for the English translation by Ivan Morris. Anyone know where to find the details on the original Japanese printing? Tuvok[T@lk/Improve] 17:11, 5 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This page has no links to jawp page, because ja: 野火 (小説) describes both novel and movie and links to English movie page. How can it be corrected? 220.146.140.162 (talk) 03:03, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

– Unnecessary disambiguation, other two items in moved disambiguation pages are the novel's adaptations. MimirIsSmart (talk) 13:22, 21 March 2025 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 04:23, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@MimirIsSmart I don't think there is a clear primary topic here. The 1959 film has the most page views. Bensci54 (talk) 16:29, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Moreover, a minute before the above nomination was posted, Fires on the Plain had been unilaterally moved to Fires on the Plain (disambiguation). The dab page's main title header should be restored to Fires on the Plain until consensus decides. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 16:44, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Per the above comments copied from WP:RMT, I have moved the dab back to the base page name; this also avoids WP:MALPLACED. Courtesy pings to @MimirIsSmart, Bensci54, and Roman Spinner. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 04:23, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not an instance of WP:ONEOTHER. If it is WP:TWOOTHER, then I need to see a case demonstrating the novel is the primary topic, particularly in contrast to the 1959 film. Pageviews does not establish that. Wikinav traffic data does not seem to help. I spent ~10 minutes reviewing the usage of 'Fires on the Plain' in English reliable news and book sources, and I found it being referenced in both directions, without any clear number one.
