Claiming that Jules Dumont d'Urville discovered Astrolabe Bay is a rather colonial point of view. He may have been the first to report on it to the 'western' societies & given the name Astrolabe Bay, but I'd say the locals had discovered it a few millenia before d'Urville was born :) 128.214.61.239 (talk) 12:25, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
