According to the news I just watched (Digi24 wich is a reliable source), who quoted many important people like Elena Lasconi and Marcel Ciolacu, Andrew and Tristan Tate were released and they are heading to America. However while I am writing this they haven't departured so there are no photos we can add yet. MR. MOAI 122456789 (talk) 13:55, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This is now being widely reported (Associated Press, New York Times, NBC News, etc.). Important to note: they were not released, per se, and are "still required to appear before judicial authorities when summoned" per Associated Press. AP News has photos of them in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and they are still handcuffed to each other. But still, I'm not sure every movement of these two people is notable in a Wikipedia article. All that needs to be said is that DIICOT agreed to lift some of their travel restrictions (if that). 〜Askarion✉17:43, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And the state's attorney general, James Uthmeier, says "I directed my office to work with our state law enforcement partners to conduct a preliminary inquiry into these individuals. Florida has zero tolerance for human trafficking and violence against women. If any of these alleged crimes trigger Florida jurisdiction, we will hold them accountable." I was about to add that I have only seen that on Uthmeier's Twitter account and not in a reliable source, but then I noticed this:
Florida's attorney general today announced on Twitter that after "a thorough review of the evidence" assembled in a "preliminary inquiry", he has "directed the Office of Statewide Prosecution to execute search warrants and issue subpoenas in the now-active criminal investigation into the Tate brothers." Hi, could you please cite official source for the total kickboxing fights, wins, and losses. You can’t just base it on what he claimed himself. 2001:14BB:11D:B7D5:A8F8:3921:C18E:1221 (talk) 20:38, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Andrew Tate entry: why is only his father and brother acknowledged, but not his mother and sister!!
Both his sister and mother are mentioned but his brother gets more coverage due to being more closely associated with Andrew Tate's activities, while his father is notable in his own right as an international chess master. Valenciano (talk) 21:18, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. I've appended the following, as indicated by the green:
The sincerity of his conversion to Islam has been questioned according to The Guardian, although some scholars of the faith, such as Mufti Menk, have publicly commended his decision, with Menk stating in a recorded interview that Tate "seems like a very sincere brother" in response to it.
Per Notability, I think his conversion to Islam is a pretty major as well as controversial thing and should be in the lead. I am pretty sure I am not the first to mention this. Considering how Islam comes up with this guy it is pretty significant. Even the talk page is chewing over the quality of his Islam. Hausa warrior (talk) 02:54, 9 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
