sources; previous talk
See this archived page for discussion of Acadine with citation of ancient sources that may have morphed into later Acadine fountain legend, though when and how, and origin of the word Adadine, remain obscure: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Classical_Greece_and_Rome/Archive_19?fbclid=IwAR0XzZGY2R6mhBH4ugWNpDHoVxSBqgXhlueIcLGq8bYTgmqkRurwmh8T_EY#Acadine.Stevensaylor (talk) 22:06, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
Diodorus
The text mentions that Acadine is described by Diodorus but no citation to any of his works is given. Furthermore, the actual Greek name of this fountain isn't reported: is it Ἀκάδινη or Ἀκαδίνη? Omnipedian (talk) 14:49, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
