Stanislav Tihomirov Shopov (Bulgarian: Станислав Тихомиров Шопов; born 23 February 2002) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for CSKA Sofia.
Career
Club
Shopov began his youth career at Botev Plovdiv, at age seven.[1] On 10 May 2018, Shopov signed his first professional contract with the club.[2] He made his first-team debut on 15 May 2018 in a 2–0 win over Vereya Stara Zagora, coming on as a substitute in the latter minutes of the game.[3]
On 6 October 2020, Shopov signed a two-year contract with the option of another season with Dutch Eredivisie club SC Heerenveen.[4][1]
In June 2022, Shopov joined CSKA Sofia.[5]
International
In March 2023, Shopov was called up to the Bulgaria national team as a replacement for the injured Dominik Yankov, becoming part of the squad for the Euro 2026 qualifiers against Montenegro and Hungary.[6] He earned his first cap on 27 March 2023, in the 0:3 away loss against the latter, coming on as a late second half substitute for Ilia Gruev.[7]
