Topic Ban on War of 1812
Tirronan, have now mentioned the idea of me being topic banned from the war of 1812 page twice. Rather than you bringing it up and threatening me with it, I would like you to start the process. I am over you threatening me with this, and continuously making comments about me trolling the page, when as far as I am concerned, I am just trying to keep the pro US bias of the page. There is more than one point of view about a topic, and my presense on that article over the years has kept the aritcle more netural. In addition, some of your ocmments are quite uncivil, and I think going against WP:CIV policy. Deathlibrarian (talk) 02:40, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
I am not trying to be uncivil, however, you are bashing the same thing over and over. You have been told that many times. Nor am I threatening you. However, I note that any addition that you propose seems to spin the article away from any historical fact. As for uncivil, I'll direct you to the comments about me on pages all over by you. Feel free to take any action you like. I have 10 years of your comments and POV warring to use. Adios. Tirronan (talk) 06:34, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- YOU ARE continuously being uncivil towards me. I may dissagree with you, but I have for the most part, tried to be civil to you (including even wishing you well on your book), but you continue to be rude towards me, in my opinion, to what may equate to bullying. I come on to Wikipedia as a volunteer, using my free time to try to improve articles, and I have been at times, the only editor that has tried to keep the War of 1812 article unbiased. If you want to play that game, I'll call your bluff. I have 10 years of YOUR comments, and I can post them here on your talk page, and you can explain how they are in anyway polite and meet WP:civ guidelines. I'm sorry, I don't see any reason why I have to put up with your comments any more. Deathlibrarian (talk) 12:24, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- You lie to me and everyone in the article about sources and what they say. Yes, you have talked about me like a dog. Fair enough I can get over that. Yeah, I can get rough about an idea. But you lie to us. And it isn't just on the 1812 article either. I went and checked. The same complaints on other articles. I won't ask for an RFC because you and I have a contentious history. But, you seem to have a contentious history with people all over Wikipedia? Naw it just me right? We might disagree on issues, and that is fine, but your lying about references and the veracity of your authors? Naming Cohen as an RS historian when it took 3 minutes max to find out that wasn't his major? Creative interpretations of what a historian writes instead of the truth? No, I don't have a good opinion of you. For one thing, I have a suspicion that you have never read a history on the war of 1812. I don't know that but the thing you say sure doesn't give me any confidence. You say you are not trolling but you bring up the same things dozens of times. That isn't trolling? Praytell, what is? And no, you are not taking bias out of the article. You are POV warring. At least that is the way that I see it.
Then there is the other thing I've kept my mouth shut about. You came back into the article with Unbias_Victory and Ammerican_CP. Both were under sock puppets I hope that is a coincidence. But you can't really say anything that I would believe anymore. So to answer your question will I start and RFC no, do I think you are due one, yes. Tirronan (talk) 14:43, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- Ok, I have asked you to stop making these rude comments, threats of bans, and bullying.... and be civil. Instead of addressing that, you have rolled more insults and attacks, and a whole bunch of lies and insults "I have a suspicion that you have never read a history on the war of 1812" and claim I am using sockpuppets. This isn't reassuring me this is going to stop. I'm not sitting around and going to endure this any longer. We are all volunteers, and people shouldn't have to work on an article with someone making these comments all the time. And I won't. Deathlibrarian (talk) 16:06, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
